Another easier way to clean heads is give them a short bath 2 times with those denture cleaning tabs that fizz. Does a great job of cleaning the wick and getting gunk off coils .--Bo

I sure wouldn't go through all of that or use rubbing alcohol. If I was going to clean it at all, I would instead just soak it in PGA which will do the same thing without the after taste of the rubbing alcohol or all the other "steps".
