The equation is Voltage = √Power x Resistance. So 90 watts with a 0.56 ohm coil would yield 7.10 volts. With the Steam Engines Ohms Law Calculator, ensure both resistance and power are locked (highlight each resistance and power to the side of the calculator.

How to choose the right coils for your vape device?
Jan 20, 2020 · The coil is a component inside the atomizer. But as we know, the world of vape lingo is vast and when you say coils, we know what you mean. If your vape mod is the body, atomizer heads are the heart, a fundamental part of your vaping experience. Housed within the vape tank, an atomizer head contains a coil of thin wire and wicking material.
How many watts do you vape your 26 gauge dual coil?
Nov 08, 2019 · Vape coils are the replaceable element in vape kits and tanks. It is the coil that takes the power from your vape battery and turns it into heat, which is then used to turn e-liquid into vapour. Inside a standard coil model, you will find a length of coiled wire wrapped around an absorbent wick. The wire creates heat, while the wick absorbs the ...
What is the difference between high resistance and low resistance vape coils?
Coils resistances very from vape to vape. Vape devices will also have some internal resistance. This must be added to the coil ohm resistance to get your total resistance. Sub-Ohm Vape Chart. Tip: A Sub-Ohm Vape chart, like the one here, gives a guideline on how much wattage to use; however, it is always best to follow the manufacturer guidelines.
When should you change your vape coils?
The greater the resistance (or number on your coil) the less charge that can pass through. The equation used to explain it is: I = V / R. Where ‘I’ represents current, ‘V’ is voltage and ‘R’ is resistance, you can see when the voltage is higher, and the resistance (ohms) is lower, so the current will be stronger.

Do sub ohm coils produce more vapour?
While preferred nicotine strength is often a personal choice, it’s important to remember that sub ohm coils will heat more e-liquid to produce more vapour. What this means is that you’ll also experience a greater nicotine hit.
What is rebuildable coil?
Rebuildable coils have been created for the purpose of being used with rebuildable atomisers. They require a far greater knowledge to use safely, including knowledge of Ohm’s Law, battery safety and general vape knowledge. Rebuildable coils are the pinnacle of customisability, as they allow you to pick an exact resistance and use metals ...
How to prime a new coil?
To prime a new coil; install it into the base of your tank, take your e-liquid bottle and drip a small amount of e-liquid onto the exposed cotton. Repeat this process around three times, then reassemble and fill your tank as normal.

What are the ingredients in e-liquid?
The two main ingredients of e-liquid are VG (Vegetable Glycerin) and Propylene Glycol (PG), which are both widely found in food and medicine. The levels of VG and PG will always add up to 100%, for example, 70% VG / 30% PG or 50% VG / 50% PG.
What is the difference between VG and PG?
PG basically bonds flavouring and nicotine to the e-liquid , therefore the more PG usually translated to increased flavour. VG, on the other hand, relates to how much cloud is produced, with higher VG consistencies producing larger amounts of vapour.
How many watts does a sub ohm vape use?
Sub ohm vape pens are less than 1 ohm: hence the term "Sub-ohm". Sub-ohm vapes use a ton of power: typically 40 watts and up, sometimes exceeding 200W! On most units you can also crank down the voltage and get standard ohm hits.
What is the ohm of a coil?
The ohm (represented by the Ω symbol) is a measure of resistance that determines the amount of heat your coil generates. Coils resistances very from vape to vape. Vape devices will also have some internal resistance. This must be added to the coil ohm resistance to get your total resistance.
Can you use sub ohm coils?
Improper coil matching can damage your power supply. "Sub-ohm vapes" are not considered Sub-ohm unless they carry high wattage/power as well, some low powered devices carry Sub-ohm coils but are considered standard - they barely produce smoke.
What is the metal part of a vape coil?
The metal part of your coil can be made from a few different metal wire types, depending on the function of the vape. Usually though, it’s just stainless steel wire, steel is a good conductor, but it’s also heat resistant so won’t burn out as quickly as some other metals.
How long do vape coils last?
How long your coil will last is a bit like asking how long is a piece of string - it depends on how much you use your vape, the wattage, the juice you use, however, the general bracket is 1 to 2 weeks. You can help them last longer with a few simple techniques, which brings us nicely onto our next point...
How to use a vape coil?
WHAT IS A VAPE COIL? 1 The wicking material (the bit of cotton you can see inside the metal casing) absorbs the liquid in your tank when you fill up your clearomiser. 2 The wire in your coil (the little spiral of metal you can see inside the wicking material) is heated with power from the battery, which then starts to vaporise the liquid in your wick. 3 As you take a drag on the drip tip, the vapour travels up the chimney of your vape and into your mouth or lungs.
Do you need a coil for a vape kit?
Even within brands, the coil you need will vary massively depending on the device you have. Vape kits come with your first coil (sometimes two) to get you started - so check on the box the one you need and make sure you order the same again to get the best vaping experience.

Not only do coils differ between brands and models (we’ll cover that in a bit) but you can also have vape kits with multiple coils. Most of your standard vapes are just single coil, but you can also get dual-coil, quad-coil etc. However - the more coils you have, the more ...
What is sub ohm vaping?
Sub Ohm vaping is best suited to DTL (direct to lung) vaping - where you bypass having any vapour in your mouth on the inhale, and get the flavour on the exhale instead . Whilst this does mean your battery needs more power, it also carries a lot of benefits:

Da CLOUDS! Jk not familiar with the v2 coils but I'm assuming the lower ohm coil is probably bigger.youll need more power and it will consume more juice /battery.

Could be a bunch of things. Different coil diameter, wicking, number of coils inside, etc.. they will likely vape quite differently if aspire did it’s job at all. I’m not an Atlantis v2 user so I couldn’t tell you what they might be, but someone will probably be along that can. GL
