I've seen several new vv and vw mods coming out lately that have a puff counter. Do you really need to know how many hits you take or how many you have left? Some even incorperate a lock-out feature that limits you to a certain amount.

I never understood this either or why I would want to upload said information to my computer. What I do like about it is the fact that someone has the option to do that if they want. Not everyone like carto's, good try an atty, oh not for you try a clearomizer, really still not loving it .... here build your own.

Wow, I haven't heard about that. Granted, I stopped chasing hardware when I found what worked for me. I suppose one useful feature would be to use it to keep track of how much juice you used. Everyone likes to talk about X ml per day/week/whatever that they use, or their atty/carto lasts for X amount of days; that isn't a very accurate measure.

The puff counters are there for people who are using the harm reduction method of vaping to eventually achieve total cessation from vaping and analog smoking. It's like taking a pack of twenty analogs and only letting yourself smoke a certain number; some use the puff counter in the same way.
