Just from reading my first thought was a gunked coil. When you say replace the wick I am assuming you meant you replaced the coil head (coil and wick). The only other thing I could suggest is to take everything apart and give it a thorough cleaning and install a new coil head.

I'm confused... surely vodka, which is processed for consumption, should leave more residue than pharmaceutical grade alcohol? Anyway, how exactly would I go about doing that? Should I simply fill up the atomizer with rubbing alcohol? For how long should I leave it be?
