Clear vape juice can get darker when exposed to either excessive heat or oxygen in your tank or bottle. Heat causes the sugar and added sweeteners in the e-liquid to caramelize. Oxygen exposure degrades nicotine and other ingredients, causing the liquids to expire.

The reason why e-liquid starts to darken inside the bottle is due to a chemical reaction known as oxidation. Nicotine is a highly reactive chemical and exposing it to oxygen, or even light, can cause it to react and turn vape juice into an all too familiar brown color.Jun 11, 2020

How much juice do you put into the carto when you're filling it up? Because the carto does need to be filled as well as the tank... and if the carto got burned, it's possible that the color is translating to the juice.

My invoice reads 1.5ohm DCT cartomizers, no brand name like Boge or Smoketech and its Pirates Bounty juice from Mister- E-Liquid, which I love to vape.

In my Stardust, the juice absolutely gets much darker. I'm assuming it's the heated juice at the coil wicking backwards into the tank. It tastes just as good and I don't think it's burnt. The coil doesn't get hot enough to burn anything while it's wet.

Once when I was still using an ego-t I had bought some chocolate covered cherry juice that seemed to form a precipitate in the tank that was dark and cloudy looking. But this is an entirely different technology.

I could also just be from the heat the carto put's off. I don't seriously see anything to be concerned with.
