Yes, the viscosity of the juice (don't call it oil, it's not oil) will absolutely impact the performance of tanks. The two primary components of eliquid are PG and VG, VG is thicker than PG, so that ratio will make a juice thicker or thinner.

You can easily thin her liquid with a little plain PG or water. A drop in each tankful might be all she needs, and it won't have much effect on flavor or nic level. A little trial and error and she can avoid dry hits completely.
