My coils are ramping as slow as turtle walks. On regulated device I was putting like 40W on this build and everything was ok.

After trying all sorts of wire types, builds etc... my favorite is still 2 strands twisted kanthal, gauge is a personal preference you'll have to fiddle with to figure out what yours is.

What is power mode?
Power mode is very self explanatory. You can choose the level of wattage (amount of power per second) or voltage (the force of that power). This is used to set the optimal power for your device, as written on the coil you are using, to produce the right amount of cloud and flavor.
What is bypass mode?
Bypass mode gives you the experience of raw power of your battery to heat your coils. Here you can build your coils at lower resistances than is normally accepted by power or temperature control mode, meaning that the power of the hit will be determined by the sheer state of you battery and the resistance of the atomizer.

I don't know about other mods , but on my SMOK G150, it changes voltage (and amperage) and keeps watts the same. I am guessing more volts/amp increases ramp up time. But I agree that one could get the same effect by just increasing wattage.
Can you raise the wattage of a mod?
That is true. But if you want to experience a faster ramp up with a mod without that setting, you can just raise the wattage.
Can you control how fast a mod reaches wattage?
That doesnt make it both. If your mod has no ramp options you cannot control how fast it reaches the wattage you selected. You are at the mercy of voltage drop to 510 and build of topper. While you may be able to adjust your wattage up or down to find a desired vape for your build there is no curve how you get there. If hard and soft were the same as normal mode then companies wouldnt invest in the ramp feature because it would be pointless.
