What is TC NI mode?

TC mode is like a car that allows you to put the pedal right down, but you can also gently tap it to move the vehicle ahead slowly. With some mods you can set a custom curve, allowing you to control the speed and rate at which a coil is ramped up. This is a huge leap forward for the vaping industry.

What do the numbers on a vape mod mean?

What do those numbers mean for you the vapor? General rule of thumb is the lower the ohm(lower the number) the harder the hit, more vapor, warmer the vape, and shorter the battery life before recharging.

Each manufacturer presets certain alloys into the system and we read them as SS, Ti, or Ni, but they should actually go further in their explanation.

What does TCR mean in vaping?

Putting it simply, TCR denotes a number that identifies how the resistance of a material changes as the temperature fluctuates. When talking about vaping devices, the TCR refers to how the coil’s (material) resistance changes as the heat increases/decreases.

What is TCR mode?

To put it simply, the TCR mode allows you to adjust your mod to be as precise as possible, especially with the coils and materials that weren’t manufactured to work with your factory set mod. So, if you are experimenting with unique coils, use the TCR mode for safety purposes.

Why is TCR important?

Do you need to know TCR?

There is no need for you to know TCR values and understand the workings of the TCR mode if you intend to vape with pre-packaged coils and mods created from the same brand.

Why do you use TCR mode?

Different TCR values must be assigned for different types of coils. This is mainly to keep you and your device safe. Use the TCR mode on your device when using unique coils. TC or Temperature Control has allowed Vapers to more accurately control their vaping experience.

What does TCR mean in a coil?

Well, TCR stands for Temperature Coefficient of Resistance. It relates to the resistance and corresponding heat of a particular type of alloy used in a coil. Less resistance translates into more heat, faster. The type of alloy used in the coil determines the relationship between the resistance and potential heat.

Do you need to know TCR for mods?

So, in short, staying within the comfortable confines of pre-packaged coils and mods should present no need to know any of the TCR values, as the engineers who built your equipment would have already pre-built them into the system.

What is temperature control vaping?

Why is my vape consistent?

Vape consistency: By having control over the temperature your coils can rise to, the vape will be consistent from puff to puff, and even within one puff. In regular wattage mode, the hits are more inconsistent because the heat of the coil changes based on the length of the hit.

What is the best wire for vaping?

TC vaping generally uses one of these four types of vape wires: 1 Stainless steel: this wire is very popular and readily available. It comes in various grades such as 304, 316, 316L, 317, and 430 but the most common is SS316L. SS can be used in wattage or temperature control mode. 2 Nickel 200: commonly known as ni200, it was the first temperature control coil but it’s less common now due to some vapers having sensitivities to nickel. 3 Titanium Grade 1: otherwise known as Ti. It works well in TC but the user has to make sure it does not get overheated. 4 Nickel ferrous: also known as NiFe, comes in various grades such as 48, 30, 52, 70 and can be used in either mode, but is not widely available.

I have really been having trouble with my iPV5 in TC mode lately. I have an all SS316L fused clapton on my Herakles RTA-2 and have not been able to use it except under the TC- Titanium mode. In the SS304 mode it reads no-liquid, dry hit. When I put in a TCR, regardless of what number I use (0.00050 to 0.00700), I get the same message.

Finally! I just found this on some website. It seems to be working well on my SX Mini Q Class & my iPV5. I think the reason I was having so much trouble is because I wasn't locking the resistance before vaping. After I locked the ohms and set the manual TCR to the value below, it's working perfectly.
