Hmm... I don't have any experience with the smokalien, personally, I believe some folks have had that issue and it could be the 510 pin on the mod being stuck, or even gunked with a bit of juice? I'd try cleaning the mod thoroughly and focusing on the 510 pin and the battery contacts.

Well, it sounds like something is up with the center pin, at least for that tank. It really shouldn't be, since your tank and mod are both smok products right? But it seems that may be the issue. If your friend can't help, I would perhaps take it to a B&M to see if they can help with this issue-- maybe a small spacer would help?

You can try taking the baby beast coil out.. Back the positive / base connector on the coil out a 16th of an inch. Screw coil back in and test without the tank on.
