So I got some new e-liquid last night from Madvapes and put some of it into a new 808D cartomizer. I let it steep for a little bit, then I tried smoking it. Well, it was very harsh and hurt my throat. I put more liquid in it and waited. Occasionally, I will get a nice smooth hit but sometimes it just feels like a really harsh throat hit.

The problem is present just with this particular bottle of juice? You've vaped others with no complaint? If so, I'd be looking at a possibly defective batch of juice —in which case I'd cut my losses by throwing it out.

I get different experiences with different atomizers and cartos. sometimes, some liquids are better vaped at different voltages. if you want to stick with the 808 then i suggest trying other juices, varying the nic strength and vg/pg ratios until you find ones you like. it's a bit of exploratory process.

What PG/VG ratio is the juice? Also, do you draw slowly & hold the vapor in your mouth for a moment before inhaling? I'm thinking, if you're getting an occasional smooth hit the liquid could be too thick (high in VG) to wick well consistently, causing you to get a lot of fairly dry hits.

Due to chinese e-juices. When they tasted pure fine liquids having just VG-PG USP/Eur.Ph. + flavour + nicotine USP/Eur.Ph. everything was perfect.
