The Coolfire IV Plus has a nice 3300mAh battery vs the 2000mAh on the original. The Plus now has a max wattage of 70W, up from 40W on the original. Lastly you can now fire down to 0.1ohm on the Plus, whereas the original could only go down to 0.3ohm. In a market where higher power and lower resistances has become quite mainstream, the Coolfire IV Plus boasts some much needed improvements. The Coolfire IV Plus does not have temperature control, so if you are looking for that, you will need to look at Innokin’s new Cortex mod instead.

When I look at the Cool Fire IV Plus, it seems so standard to me. I must say though, all products under the Innokin branding has this sense of quality to them, but they don’t quite shine like many of the other mods on the market.

There isn’t too many features to brag about when it comes to the Cool Fire IV Plus, but it does have the ability to run up to 70 watts, and you can fire down to 0.1Ω, which I feel is plenty enough. With this device, you have the ability to switch from wattage mode to voltage mode, although I believe wattage mode is more preferred.
Performance
When it comes to the performance, this is where the Cool Fire really begins to shine. From the first few pulls from this device, I could instantly tell that this device offered a very nice and very consistent vape, much like you would notice from using a device with a DNA chipset.

I have had a cool fire 4 for about 6-8 months. The thing does not charge anymore. I let it go completely dead battery and then charged it a day or two later, now the thing just flashes the yellow green red like simon and every few secs the many lights up. It will not hold a charge and I'm confused if I screwed it up or if it is a quick fix.

Okay, new problem! The mod turns on with the tanks on top, but no vape is coming out. Tried everything again

At 3.7v, that may not be enough to fire a 2.1 ohm coil quickly. Try hitting the power button for just a second or so and then take a draw. Either that, or pop in a 1.5 ohm coil to see if that works better. With 3.7v, the 1.5 ohm coil should work better.

That is why I asked in case you had already broke that connection. I have an IClear30 here on my desk and it did the same as yours with the pin pushed to far into the base. I pulled it down till it was just above the base and tried again and it worked fine. I do not have an X.1 to see if it also has an adjustable pin.
