Dab it with some juice, install the head, fill the tank and let it sit for a few minutes. Then prime the juice into the coil wick by covering the air flow hole and suck in through the drip tip like you’re taking a hit. This forces juice into the coil head and moistens the wick.

I purchased an Aspire Plato kit a little over a year ago. I never had any issues with it except some occasional leaking at the bottom where the airflow vent is. I haven't used it in about 4 months, but decided to bring it out to start vaping again. A week ago it had a slight charge and was able to flash a low battery message on the screen.

Not really. Sounds like you've tried the obvious solutions. Although, since you've had leaking, I might look at cleaning the battery terminals, and whatever you can get to inside the mod. There may be some ejuice clogging up some areas in your mod. If you clean it then leave it open for a day or so to dry out.

The plato uses a removable 18650 battery, have you checked the voltage?

Eskie ECF Guru Verified Member ECF Veteran

Yeah, don't assume anything until you at least remove the current 18650, wipe the contacts down, and try another battery. If is this your primary vape, then over a year you might well have used that enough to the point it will no longer hold a charge. These batteries are good for anywhere around 300-500 cycles.
