The cotton is soaked with liquid. Once voltage is applied to the coil, it heats up and vaporizes the liquid in order to create the vape. You can either buy prebuild coils or buy just the wire and make your own coils.

Can you discharge a battery in a mod?
Since there is no battery protection in such a mod, you could discharge the battery all the way down, which can destroy the battery. Once the battery voltage drops, you will notice a decrease in power. After some time you should be able to tell when the battery is empty and you need to recharge it.

Use the first schematic in this step. This update is from working with Zanderist. This was originally designed for the LM317 voltage regulator but after suggestions from Zanderist the design is now using LM338t. Other schematics are from my first design and manufacturer specs.
Step 2: Parts
Most parts can be found online. I bought some parts at radio shack but some parts didn't hold up on production models. The only difference here is the voltage regulator has been switched out with the LM338t.

Once you have ground up the weed place it in the lightbulb and fit the bottle cap with two straws/pen tubes onto the base of the light bulb to seal it.
What do you use to clear out a vaporizer?
One of these straws/pen tubes will be used for inhaling the vapor. The other will act as a carb, which will clear out the vaporizer as you inhale. It is recommended that you use duct tape or electrical tape to secure the straws/pen tubes to the bottlecap.
