how to get faster ramp up time vape

Ramp-up time is proportional to coil size. If you want big coils to ramp up quickly, use a mod with plenty of power to spare, and configure a pre-boost. This is a configurable period of time at a configurable higher power, to heat up the coil quickly, but drop to the set power before it gets too hot.

To the point - I vape for like 5 or 6 years by now, but today I got myself a first mechanical mod. Before I bought it, I read a lof about Ohm's law, battery safety etc, etc but something suprised me. My coils are ramping as slow as turtle walks. On regulated device I was putting like 40W on this build and everything was ok.

Simple single wire or 2 strands thinner gauge twisted will work very well.

After trying all sorts of wire types, builds etc... my favorite is still 2 strands twisted kanthal, gauge is a personal preference you'll have to fiddle with to figure out what yours is.

The pulse bf is known to have horrible voltage drop. Probably the worst out of its price range

If it's too hot, why not just turn down the power? And when you talk about too fast a ramp, are you referring to preheat? Are you in TC?

I think you justneed to drip a little more often. I doubt anything is wrong. People who vape on series mods have ridiculously fast ramp up times, but they dont have problems with burnt tastes. Just check your cotton more often and drip more frequently.

ahaa! thank you guys, since it's an RTA, i guess, i need to work on my wicking!

made a new fresh coil 0.36 ohms and quite fast ramp, that should reach maximum 80w before it gets too hot. going to wick it tomorrow, and check it out! do you guys have any advice on wicking the Zepherys V2? i have problems with it flooding, and if i use more wick, i get dry hits/burnt taste.

i don't think i have problems with not knowing how many watts to use it at, as i'm calculating everything in coil engine. what do you mean by preheat? i have another smaller type vape pen smoktech SID which goes 15w.

There are ways to actually speed up the ramp up but then there is the hotter (at the coil surface) build or setting where it's ramping faster by ramping towards a higher point and yeah that's going to be more likely to burn. Even a slow build will approach equilibrium as the hit progresses.

I can't get enough throat hit from 30w. 40w is ok, but 50w is nice. 60-80 after meals, or if i want sweets. When i first started vaping on this build i couldn't even vape 25 watts. I didn't even push myself, i just wanted to see the bigger clouds it could make. So i lowered the nic, and could finally vape 30w with enjoyment.

Temperature Control (TC) Mode

Temperature Control, or as referred to sometimes as Variable Temperature (VT), is a very useful mode where you set the exact temperature threshold for heating your coils steadily. TC wires are limited to their own specific setting, as their individual heating properties vary.

Bypass Mode

On your quest in the land of clouds, you encounter old masters that reminisce about the good old days, when vaping took skill. Ah, the days of mechanical mods. Bypass mode gives you the experience of raw power of your battery to heat your coils.
