While the vapor quality falls short of the Crafty due to more conduction and a less fancy cooling unit, this is one of the best tasting vaporizers that you can get under $150. Good flavor, cool temps with no need to stir or mix the chamber. The CF can also pump out very dense clouds when that's your goal.
What do you need to clean CF?
What you’ll need. You’ll only need a few household items to clean your CF - some rubbing alcohol, cotton swabs, and a glass container to soak a few pieces. The included brush is perfect for clearing out the oven, but you’ll need some smaller pipe cleaners to get inside the mouthpiece.
How to clean a boundless CF?
The Boundless CF is pretty straightforward to clean. A quick brush or wipe to the oven and screen is all you’ll probably need most of the time, but it’s good to give your vape a good cleaning after putting some mileage on it. If you go too long, and notice a funky smell or a drop in airflow, it’s time for a deep cleaning.
How to clean a CF oven?
The oven can be cleaned out with a quick brushing and wipe down. Brush out the oven with the brush that came with the CF. Moisten a cotton swab in the alcohol and remove any residue on the sides and bottom of the oven. Do this while holding the CF upside down so alcohol doesn’t drip below, into the electronics.
How long to soak plastic mouthpiece?
Boundless has stated that you can soak the plastic pieces in isopropyl alcohol, bot for no longer than ten minutes.
Take mouthpiece apart
There are three main pieces of the mouthpiece that you’ll separate and clean - the mouthpiece, mouthpiece stem, and the screen assembly. With the mouthpiece still attached to the vape, rotate the stem outwards as if you were going to hit it, and lift upwards to separate the two halves of the mouthpiece.
Soak or wipe
Soak all the metal parts for as long as necessary (including the oven screen, see next paragraph) in the glass with some rubbing alcohol. You may have some debris inside the mouthpiece stem after a lot of use.
Brush and wipe the oven
The oven can be cleaned out with a quick brushing and wipe down. Brush out the oven with the brush that came with the CF. Moisten a cotton swab in the alcohol and remove any residue on the sides and bottom of the oven. Do this while holding the CF upside down so alcohol doesn’t drip below, into the electronics.
Reassemble
Once all the pieces are nice and dry, it’s time to put it all back together! Start by putting the screen back in the oven. Give it a little push at the bottom so it stays in place. Reassemble the mouthpiece the same way it came apart. Place the screen insert inside the assembly and reattach them to the bottom half of the mouthpiece.
Finish with a burnoff
Finally, run a burnoff cycle to remove any alcohol residue. Leave the oven empty and put the mouthpiece back on. Turn the heat up to the highest setting and let it run until it automatically turns off. And now you’re set with a nice, clean CF …time to vape!

Disassemble the CFV for Cleaning
The first thing we’ll need to do in order to clean our CFV is to disassemble it. We can do so by simply removing the mouthpiece with a twisting motion at the base and pulling it off. Just the same way we load the oven. If we haven’t cleaned our screens or replaced them in some time, now is the time.
Brushing Out the Heating Chamber
Next we’re going to use our Boundless brush tool (or a pipe cleaner, etc.) to gently scrub the inside of the oven. We do this to remove any excess dry herb that might have been left behind. After that, we will want to go ahead and tap the unit so that any extra debris falls out.
Cleaning with Isopropyl Alcohol
With the excess herb removed, it’s time to begin cleaning the chamber and mouthpiece with isopropyl alcohol-soaked cotton swabs. We don’t have to worry about dunking/soaking our unit or mouthpiece in alcohol. We just need to go all around with a little bit of alcohol on a cotton swab and just lightly graze along the inside of the oven.
Wiping Down the Outer Body of the CFV
After that we will lightly go along and clean around the entire outside of our unit with a paper towel or a piece of microfiber cloth dipped in alcohol. We shouldn’t have to scrub too hard if we regularly clean our rig. Make especially sure to get our buttons and screen as we touch them every time we vaporize.
Hitting a Clean CFV
After that, we have a CFV that is as clean as the day we got it. Now let’s wait for it to dry a bit, then pack up our favorite herb and celebrate a job well done.
Disassemble the CFX for Cleaning
The first thing we’re going to want to do is to disassemble our CFX. All we need to do in order to do that is simply removing the mouthpiece from the unit. It’s that easy.
Brushing Out the Heating Chamber
Then we’ll begin cleaning the inside of the oven of our CFX. To do this, we’re going to want to take our cleaning brush and gently begin brushing the inside of the oven. This shouldn’t be too hard to do, we’re just removing any residual herb that might be leftover from previous sessions.
Cleaning the Bowl with Isopropyl Alcohol
Next, we’ll begin cleaning our unit with some isopropyl alcohol and some cotton swabs. No need to over-soak the cotton swabs or pour alcohol directly into the CFX. If it’s been a minute since you’ve cleaned your bowl last this might take a few passes with your cotton swabs before you see any results.
Cleaning the Mouthpiece with Isopropyl Alcohol
Then we’re going to do the same thing that we did with the bowl and start cleaning the mouthpiece with some isopropyl soaked alcohol cotton swabs. Again just gently moving it around, getting any excess residue that might be left behind from previous sessions. After going over it a few times, everything should now be sufficiently cleaned.
Hitting a Clean CFX Vaporizer
At this point, you’ll want to let your unit dry out before seshing again. If you removed your screens, now would be the perfect time to put some replacement screens in now that our CFX is all clean. Once it’s all dried out, load that unit up and enjoy!
