I just got a Smok Q-Box that uses V8 Baby coils and haven't really been using it regularly enough to be able to answer your question about how long they should last. I am replying to say that I know with my Joyetech eGo AIO if I take slow puffs longer puffs they burn out fast.

Believe me I wish I knew all I can think of is that I am using too high of a coil for the juice I am using. That seems to be the only thing that would make sense. I am going to try the X4 coils since they use a lower wattage to see if that resolves my issues, because I love the juice I am using.

I run the t8s and q2s at 80 watts and am always fine with that, 65 watts with your t8 shouldn't be burning out in 4 days.

I'm wondering if your mod is reading the ohms wrong and sending too much power to the coils? I'd suggest you compare the ohms on your mod display with the ohms written on the coil its self. If they don't match then you can try adjusting the ohm's on the mod manually and see if that helps.

I use version b 1.0.2 an that runs fine, only problems I've ever had are with version 1. In fact my first alien was plagued with issues but it seems with version b to run flawlessly, I'm happy with the value and performance & I've been using this q2 coil since Saturday an it's still running fine.

I've tried the t8's, q2's and x4's and out of all of them I think my favourite are the q2's. Best flavour I've found, t8's just give more vapour.
