What wattage/voltage to be vaping a nautilus 2 tank?

I recently bought the Nautilus 2 Tank which is great, it came with a 1.8 coil and a 0.7 coil. I previously vaped at 1.5 ohms at around 10 watts I believe it was around 3.9 volts, something like that. I was just wondering what is the minimum and maximum wattage/voltage to be vaping a 0.7 ohm coil at baring in mine I am a mouth to lung vaper.

How much wattage do I need for my vape tank?

1 Start Low. Even If Your Tank Says It Can Handle 150W, Start At 60W And Work Your Way Up 2 Higher Wattage Does Not Mean Better Vaping. I’d Rather Vape At 60W And Conserve My Coil Heads 3 Most Modern Sub Ohm Tanks Will Not Require More Than 80W – Even The High-Power Ones.

How much power does a vape coil use?

Voltage is not the only factor that affects wattage – you also need to take into account the resistance of the coils. Lower resistance coils produce more flavour, vapour and heat at a lower voltage than higher ohm coils because they use more watts. For example, if you have a 1.8ohm coil running on 3.7 volts you’ll get an output of around 7.3 watts.

What is the recommended wattage for my coil?

If it is, you'll see that the recommended wattage for your 1.8Ω coil is 10-14 watts. Make sure you're in power mode, set your device to 10 watts and see how it goes. If you're not happy at 10 watts, you can always increase your wattage gradually (all the way to 14 watts) until you're satisfied.

I've been using my 5ml Nautilus Tank with 1.6 ohm BVC coils for a few months now and am curious what wattage you guys who have this same setup are vaping it at. Also, how long are the BVC coils lasting for you as well. I assume the higher wattage choice would equate to lesser days of use with each coil.

I find that 10-12w is perfect for the Nautilus or mini but yes you will have to change the coil sooner.

A week sounds about right. I switch between a mini, full size and Atlantis and don't usually remember when I changed the coil.

I had bad luck with the 1.6 coils when I first got them, so I've been doing 1.8 for a long time now. It could very well not be related though.

i just ordered some 1.6 coils, only because i have no luck with the 1.8's due to the larger holes. I also purchased an istick 20w (which now i'm wishing i had bought the 30w) only because i've read a 20w can't handle a Kanger subtank mini... (even though i wasn't planning on using the sub ohm just yet, just the stock coils).

What is the wattage of a box mod?

The wattage of a box mod, in layman’s terms, is essentially the amount of power you send from the mod’s battery to the atomizer (AKA your vape tank). Higher wattages equal more power, and this, in turn, creates a hotter, more intense hit. And more vapor. If you want those BIG clouds, you gotta run your vape mod at higher wattages.

What is sub ohm tank?

Sub-Ohm tanks are designed to produce more clouds. They do this by having a lower resistance (0.2ohms, for instance), and this allows for less electrical resistance which in turn allows for more signal to flow to the atomizer.

Can you control the temperature of a box mod?

But Temperature Control vaping is a very useful feature of a box mod, as it allows you to control the maximum temperature that the atomizer will fire at. You can set it wherever you like, for instance, if you’re vaping sweeter E Juice, you could set it nice and low, to really juice-out the flavors.

Do vape mods have a user interface?

Most modern vape mods run on a vape chip and software, just like a smartphone. Vape mods also have a user interface, buttons, and a display . In fact, they’re probably closer to a mobile phone than a cigarette in this respect. Please though, DO NOT be put off by ALL the settings and bells and whistles inside your box mod.

One of my favourite vape devices, the Innokin MPV5 can output up to 120 watts. Sure, there are devices with more power, but the reality is that unless you are building your own coils, you don’t need more than 120 watts of power. For a fixed battery device, this MPV5 has an unmatched capacity.

How to get the perfect vape experience?

After all, with most entry-level vape kits, all you need to do is: Check what wattage you can use with the coil in your device. Adjust your wattage and airflow until you get the vapour, flavour and throat hit you need. Some people want to know more to get the perfect vaping experience.

Why do vapes burn out faster?

You will need to increase the voltage to increase the wattage and get a better vape. Because lower resistance coils use more wattage, they tend to generate more heat. This means they often burn out quicker than a higher resistance coil would.

How does variable wattage work?

The variable wattage device will then automatically adjust the power going through the atomiser (the voltage) to produce the power output you need (the wattage).

What affects vapour and throat hit?

The resistance of your coil is not the only thing that affects vapour, flavour and throat hit. It also depends on the amount of power flowing through your coil. There are two common types of vape batteries which allow different amounts of power to flow through your coil. These are variable voltage and variable wattage.

What is the difference between variable voltage and variable wattage?

The difference between variable voltage and variable wattage is a bit like the difference between an automatic and a manual car. With a variable voltage device, you manually control the amount of power (voltage) going through your device.
