Battery Life As with any battery, the more you use it, the quicker it is depleted and it will need charging. If you are vaping at high wattages the battery is using more power, so it runs down much more quickly than if you were vaping at a lower power.

As you might have already guessed, running a coil at a higher wattage will also decrease your vape battery life as your vape mod needs to pull extra power from the battery to supply those high watts to the coil.

I am thinking of getting an upgrade and was wondering what wattage is all about? I am familiar with voltage with e cigarettes but how do watts affect it? Is getting a 50W mod all that better from getting a 30W one?

To me vape really started to shine when I got my mod with the Nautilus on it. The difference is like cooking in a microwave or using an oven where you can adjust the temp to get it cooked the way you want it to taste. As to the power, if you're only using 20 watts to power your tank, it will be the same on both mods.

It depends on what you enjoy. For some of us, 15 watts is more than enough power. Others want 200. If you're just starting out, you can get a fairly high powered device for relatively cheap. If you stay at low wattage, no harm done.

Less power means less E Juice burned.
