You start vaping quicker because you're enjoying the flavour, and you vape harder to chase the hit. The thing is, the faster and harder you vape the more likely you are to quickly burn out your vape coil. This is particularly important when using a high VG juice because it takes these longer to soak into your coil in between each drag.

Hey guys, great forum! I've been searching through, trying to figure out what my issue is; the problem is, everyone has different models so it's extremely hard to pinpoint... So be prepared for a long post (I'm so sorry >.<)

sounds like a crap battery. Without a brand i can't tell you for sure but most ego style's are protected batteries that should keep them from behaving like the symptoms you describe. No protected battery should ever get "hot" from charging or discharging.

I second the bad battery, could be a malfunctioning voltage regulator.

Good stuff from everyone posting above. I agree about the battery, getting hot after 3 hits?! That thing needs to be thrown away. Perhaps take it back where you bought it and tell them it's faulty and switch it out.

1.8ohm would only overheat from my experience if you take 3 10 second drags at 4.8v, even then by the way you made it sound you're either smoking very high pg mixes at a very high voltage, or you have a leak (most people don't notice, I've had it happen before where i see 2ml of e-liquid and 5 mins later it's empty. I go through 5ml a day at most .

Exactly! I just noticed the rapidly disappearing liquid, but I guess I just haven't realized if there's been a significant difference in the amount I vape. Apparently that, combined with a slight uppage in volts has contributed to the vanishing juice. I feel dumb now lol. I was convinced there was some sort of conspiracy.
