Gurgling can happen with both sub-ohm tanks and pod systems. It happens because e-liquid is caught somewhere in the tank's air path – either in the intake vents or, more commonly, in the chimney leading out of the tank. The e-liquid blocks airflow, causing the tank to bubble when you vape.May 4, 2020

Why is my vape making a bubbling noise?

Here are some tips about good and ugly vape noises. Is It Bad if Your Vape Spits?

Why does my vape crackle when I vape?

The wattage/voltage level. Using a sub-ohm vaping setup is the first reason for an instant crackle. An RTA with a fairly open airflow forces air and increases the productivity of the vape. More e-liquid will condensate and less turn to vapor, thus an excess of liquid makes the noise.

Why is my vape making a bubbly noise?

A pod vaping device, or pod begins gurgling because excess e-liquid is caught inside the pod's atomizer coil assembly. There's more e-liquid than the wick can hold, so you begin to hear a bubbling or gurgling sound when you inhale.

Why is my vape making a hissing sound?

Whenever you take a hit, you should hear a very soft hissing sound that's accompanied by steady, soft crackling. This means that your device is functioning properly and that your e-liquid is being properly heated by your coil.

Why does my vape make a noise?

More e-liquid will condensate and less turn to vapor, thus an excess of liquid makes the noise. E-liquid can’t be vaporized effectively when your vape wattage is too low. You need to increase it for normal heating or try to make longer draws. Otherwise, you may flood your atomizer and e-juice will spit into your mouth.

Why does my vape keep popping?

We are talking about occasional popping because of twisted coil build, and you can hardly prevent it. Be sure that your coil twists and braids are very tight in your device. You can also hear a vape popping when your device has a narrow drip tip or chimney.

Why does my vape spit?

Vapes spit because juice collects on the coil and does not vaporize. This problem is caused by coils getting flooded with too much liquid, low wattage settings, and airflow that is too open, and a variety of other reasons.

Why does my RDA tank spit?

Overpriming. A common cause of a tank or RDA spitting is overpriming. Priming coils is essential, but some people overdo it and put too much liquid onto the coil and wicking. Instead, use a moderate amount to prime the coil.

Why do coils pop?

A Coil Design. Twisted and braided coils have more surface area, which helps to produce more vapor and may cause extra popping sounds . Such types of coils have more crannies and nooks, that’s why more e-liquid pops. We are talking about occasional popping because of twisted coil build, and you can hardly prevent it.

Why does my atomizer pop?

A thinner e-liquid might cause coil flooding and atomizer’s popping and spitting. You may use thicker vegetable glycerin instead of thinner propylene glycol liquid. Sugar is very much like wood when it is burned. Both contain cellulose which breaks down when burnt. Then the gases vaporize and make a popping sound.

Why do coils get flooded?

Deep drags are another reason why coils get flooded. Luckily, this problem is easy to solve. Just take slower and shallower drags. The airflow can be tightened, but the drags still need to be shallower because deep drags will flood the coil regardless of the airflow setting.

The weird bubbling sound (gurgle) most often associated with Subtanks is from a flooded coil. Most often you can turn up the power a few watts and it will vaporize the juice. (I didn't listen to the clips). What power setting are you using?

And how does this happen? The guy in the store set it up for me, put about 2 drops in the 2 holes on the sides, and 2 drops in the top. Then filled the tank and put coil in.

I bought a KANGERTECH SUBOX NANO black friday. Please know this is my first time EVER having an e-cig so I know nothing about them.

I listened to clips and it sounds normal to me. If flooded you can feel the juice bubbling in it. Sounds like that is not happening. They all make noise. If vaping smooth and you are getting a consistent hit it is right. Ear plugs will stop the crackling noise e-cigs produce. j/k CHEERS!

I would recommend going back to the shop for a 1-1 tutorial on how to use it again.

gurgling can be cause by sucking too hard on the atomizer and or having the airflow closed down and sucking too hard for the airflow.

Disclaimer: I do not have that tank, and am not familiar with it. But it does appear that there's not much liquid in it. In my tanks, I find they misbehave when the level gets too low. Unless there's more liquid that's not visible from the angle in your video, try filling it up again.

Why do vapers take so long?

This is commonly due to the way in which the individual user to take drags from a cigarette, which tends to be rather vigorous.

Why does my power supply gurgle?

That is, the lower the resistance, the higher the wattage should be, and vice versa. Each resistance tank will have a range that is considered the “sweet spot.” If your power output is set too low to properly heat the coil , it will result in flooding and gurgling. Try increasing your wattage/voltage to a level that is within the recommended range—this may resolve the flooding and gurgling you are experiencing.

How does a vacuum tank work?

In order for the vacuum effect to function appropriately, the tank needs to be well-sealed and air-tight. Check the assembly of the tank’s various components to ensure that everything is connected properly and securely. In addition, inspect the various parts for cracks or gaps that could potentially allow excess air to enter the tank. This can also contribute to flooding and gurgling.

Fixing Too Noisy Popping & Crackling Sounds

During longer inhales your device will be pulling more vape juice than it can normally handle and during that time it will gurgle like crazy. Instead of getting more vapor, you will receive a mouthful of your juice (untreated) straight from the tank.

Spitback & Bad Flavor Are the Important Yardsticks

Sounds may be annoying, but mean little in the grand scheme of things. Only when the sound is accompanied by burnt flavor or spitback [hot e-juice shooting onto your lips] should you get really concerned.

Hey all I'm still pretty new to this - I'm happy wit my ego t except often when I inhale there is this annoying bubbling sound, I've dismantled it and there's no leaks, tried blowing thru the airhole - to no avail. It happened on my first cartomiser/clearomizer (not sure what it is its see thru with 2 wicks if that's relevant).

Sounds like liquid dripped down to the battery area where the cart screws in. Try cleaning?

XfooYen Vaping Master Verified Member ECF Veteran

Ego tanks are notoriously dodgy. That doesn't mean there's anything wrong with your setup. If you draw too fast, it will pull liquid too rapidly into the atty and begin to flood it. Usually that's the gurgling you will hear. Hit slow and steady and the excess should vape off. If you're getting leaking around the base, that is another issue.

Yeah sounds like you're filling your cart too much. Dab it on a paper towel and look through the hole before you screw in. If you can see through, you're good to go. If you can't, dab it until the excess liquid comes out the bottom of the cart, look through the hole, and if it's all clear, you're good to go.
