Why does my vape have no flavor?

There are many reasons why you may be experiencing a vape with no flavor. Some of them are related to your device, but another type of reaction related to taste fatigue could also be the issue. Here are some ways to identify the problem and fix it.

What happens if you let too much air in your vape?

And too much air rushing onto your coil can dull vapour flavour even more than not enough air can. Mouth-to-lung e-cigarettes are designed to work with restricted airflow to allow short bursts of intensely-flavoured vapour with even the shortest of puffs. This means they won’t give you as much flavour if you allow too much air in.

Why is my vape coil not heating up?

As you fill your tank and vape it down to zero again and again, small amounts of residue build up on your coil. This can cause the coil to heat poorly or unevenly. Sure, you will still get some vapor with continued use, but you definitely won’t enjoy the taste. 4. Adjusting Your Device

Should you switch to a different flavor when vaping?

Some people suggest switching to a completely different flavor to see if you can give your taste buds a jump start, although most would agree this really isn’t a “cure.” In general, the most effective thing to do is to take a break from vaping altogether for a day or two and see if your body recovers.

Why does my vape not taste sweet?

Vaping can sometimes cause a dry mouth simply by requiring so much mouth breathing (inhaling a vape), which can dry up saliva. When we don't have enough saliva, the ability to taste is almost non-existent. Flavor fatigue is another culprit behind vape tongue resulting in you not tasting your e-juice.

1. Low Battery

The first thing to check when you stop getting the desired flavor from your vape is your device’s batteries.

2. Cartridge

If you’re using a vape with a cartridge, this could be a sign that it’s time to swap out for a fresh one. Your device may be pulling just enough leftover liquid to give you a vapor cloud, but you definitely won’t be getting the robust flavor of a full, or even half-full, vape pod.

3. Atomizers

If you haven’t swapped out your atomizer lately, it might be time to do so. As you fill your tank and vape it down to zero again and again, small amounts of residue build up on your coil. This can cause the coil to heat poorly or unevenly. Sure, you will still get some vapor with continued use, but you definitely won’t enjoy the taste.

4. Adjusting Your Device

After checking for any parts that may have worn out, it’s time to try adjusting your device. Some flavors perform best in drip atomizers, while others do well in tanks. Adjusting your wattage upward may bring out flavors that were missing at first.

5. Steeping Your Liquid

On the less technical side of things, it could be that your liquid needs some time to steep before you vape it. The need to steep e-liquids is often a result of manufacturers shipping the products out immediately after mixing without letting them settle first.

If you're using rebuiladables, I suggest mounting new coils and rewicking. Make sure hands are super clean and super rinsed before touching the wicking material.

I always keep one unflavored, and one just plain lemon flavored, for those times that I need to clear my taste buds. The lemon has been working wonders for me in that regard, back from the first year I was vaping.

Also try mixing the juices a bit lower than the recommended percentage. A lot of the manufacturers set the percentage high because of the lack of taste that smokers have and these flavors are geared for new Vapors and are super sweet. Cut the recommended percentage by 1/3 or even 1/2.

Good to hear you are getting your taste back. I was going to ask if you had been sick? Everyone knows COVID is know for this but I had a nasty cold before that wiped out my sense of taste and smell for over a week. I've had other colds before and that had never happened... just that one time. Oh, and red wine...

One time I was making home-made "doughnuts" (you just use the pre-made biscuit dough fried in oil then dip them in sugar while still hot) I used a fork to remove them from the hot oil and dip in sugar... just forgot and out of reflex licked sugar off the fork. Instantly burned my tongue and upper mouth. And yes... pizza got me once too.

Pure & simple, if you need to chain vape to be satisfied, your nic is too low!

What is VG for diabetes?

VG is used as a sweetener for people with diabetes. You may have a high sensitivity to sweet things and the High VG may not be what you want. If your not chasing clouds then go with a 50/50 or even 60/40 to cut back on the sweet taste you are getting. The 60/40 will add some added throat hit however.

Elberto34. Interests:Hiking, Traveling and vaping. Vaping is cheaper and healthier too. E-cigarettes are a safer way to get a nicotine fix, or a way for smokers to break a nasty habit, and it is less harmful than conventional cigarettes and other tobacco products.

Is VG juice sweet?

Well, with a VG based juice like the one your smoking it's going to be sweet, but if you use a 60 pg / 40 vg you wont get the intense clouds (well not by much) but the flavor will come through great and wont be as sweet as the VG.

Is VG sweet or low?

High VG is going to be sweet. There is no getting around that except cutting back on the VG I'll use my PBFB for an example. When I make a low VG mix of it I will add sweetener to it, but anything above 50/50 the VG is enough to sweeten it. VG is used as a sweetener for people with diabetes.

So I'm new at the whole vaping thing, but what I'm experiencing is very similar to something I experience periodically, even when I was smoking. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this experience and if you know of anything to stop it.

What's the PG/VG ratio you're vaping? PG is sweet, while VG is not as sweet. When a particular juice is too sweet for me, I cut it with straight VG. You might be able to acquire some VG where you buy your juice. I get my stuff mostly from TastyVapor and they will even mix my juice without any sweetener.

your taste buds will come back at different rates, maybe your sweet buds are more in than the others. you might try a mouth wash or brushing your tongue. It will level out before you no it.

Two words: tongue scraper. More people should be using these things anyway. You would be surprised at what water, toothpaste, and mouthwash won't get off of your tongue. The tongue is like a sponge. It takes more than surface cleaning to get it clean. You need something that can push down onto it to squeeze everything out of it.
