The main reason why vape smoke lingers in the air for a long time is because of the propylene glycol or vegetable glycerin that is used in most e-liquids. These substances are known to be very thick and sticky, which makes it difficult for the smoke to dissipate quickly.

Does the vapor in a vape tank dissipate?

The vapor does eventually dissipate but, for clarity, most of what you breathe out is what comes out of the tank (you don't absorb much of the vape with a quick inhale/exhale). This vapor includes all the components of the juice - propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, nicotine, and flavoring.

What happens if you don’t use VG in your vape?

If your vape is 90% PG with no VG there will be little to no vapour produced on exhale. Before anyone gets upset about “chemicals”, PG is used in medical nebulizers to carry drugs, and in vapes it carries flavour. VG is used in theatrical fog machines and if you have ever been to a show that used this type of “fog” you have vaped second hand.

How long does vapor stay on the floor?

It doesn't linger. It will stay vaporized longer in warm weather but as soon as it cools below the vaporizing temperature it condenses and drops to the floor. Have someone blow their vapor on a table and you can watch it flow along the table and roll off the edge towards the floor.

I have only noticed vapor for a brief moment maybe 30 sec if I'm puffing constantly, but it dissipates... also the odor is only there for a second, it to dissipates and is gone with the vapor...

and the "odor" usually smells like the flavor.... if I'm vaping banana nut bread then it smells like some one just bake a banana nut bread for a second and then it's gone til I vape again

Vapor definitely dissipates and it does so much faster than smoke does. It also doesn't leave a lovely yellow/brown residue on your walls. The smell is negligible. If a person even smells it, it is a very light smell that dissipates extremely quickly.

I do notice a slightly sweet smell in my small apartment after I have been vaping all day. Someone who doesn't vape would probably just attribute it to someone having a candy or some type of sweet. I wouldn't worry to much about it.

Hm. Personally, I would love to have a lingering cloud of vapor in my apartment, but absolutely nothing lingering at work.
