Personally, I believe the Solos have positive 510 pins that sit a hair lower than most other mods and/or the 510 spring on them gets fatigued over a short time causing atomizer that once connected to not connect anymore.

The paint wore down on the plastic trim piece that surrounds the leather portion. Removed and repainted it. The actual color is darker than the photo. More of a cranberry color (muddy red). Doesn't stand out as much as the photo suggests. Rust Oleum Colonial Red.
