What is low resistance in vaping?

It is always lower than the resting voltage because of the voltage drop (“voltage sag”) caused by the internal resistance of the cell/pack. This is not the true cell/pack voltage! It is just a lower temporary voltage seen only when it is being used. The voltage rises back up some once you stop.

Why is my atomizer low when I vape?

Make sure that the 510 connection (the threading on the tank, and the mod itself) is clean and free of any debris that may be causing a short. The current from your mod's battery runs from the positive (the spring loaded centre pin on the connection) to the negative (the threading itself). If there's anything causing a short here, it will ...

Why won’t my vape fire?

Jul 31, 2014 · Why does this happen? The answer is simple. For example, if you decided to use a low resistance atomizer, the atomizer heating coil will draw more current through it, which causes it to produce much more heat than a standard resistance atty. This excess heat causes a lot more vapor to be produced way quicker than what you are used to with standard resistance. What …

Why does my vape smell bad?

Feb 18, 2015 · Scranton, PA. I've had my subtank for a couple weeks now and even the day I got it, if I snug up the 510 connection too much I would get a low resistance warning on my IPV2. So I would just back it off a little and it would be fine. Now it's gotten worse, to the point where it will say there's a short or the usual low resistance warning.

What are the benefits of low resistance?

Simply put, a low resistance atomizer, cartomizer, or clearomizer will produce A LOT more vapor. Why does this happen? The answer is simple. For example, if you decided to use a low resistance atomizer, the atomizer heating coil will draw more current through it, which causes it to produce much more heat than a standard resistance atty.

What are the drawbacks of low resistance?

First things first. We recommend that you don’t use low resistance atomizers, cartomizers, or clearomizers until you already have a substantial amount of experience with vaping. If you’re new to vaping, check out some of our other blog articles here.

My SubTank came with a beauty-ring-like part, which introduces another center pin (non-spring loaded).

This afternoon was my 1st spin with the Kanger Subtank on my ipv2. It worked fine at first, then I got the error message "Low Res!" and now it won't fire the subtank, but will fire other tanks. I tried using the non spring loaded beauty ring, but it's still not working.

I recently purchased an Aspire Evo 75 Kit (its the first vape I've purchased) and i was using it last night for the first time and it worked for about an hour and all was well. After a little while it started saying "Low Res" on the screen when i hit the fire button and wouldn't hit anymore.

The "low res" on your screen says that the atomizer's resistance level went lower than what your mod can accommodate (use safely), which is why it stopped working. The coil inside will start at a certain level but will go down as you use it so this is normal. Since I'm not familiar with the Aspire Evo 75, have a look at this video.

I came across this thread when looking for solution for the LOW RES problem on the NX75/EVO75. I started suffering from it after I had dropped my mod by accident. I'm posting my solution here in the hope that it may help others.

Why won't my vape fire?

If the resistance of the coil is lower than what the device can tolerate , the vape will not fire. Dry burning is one way to get around this problem because it can raise the coil’s resistance. Another thing to do is add wraps to the coil, which will increase the resistance high enough so that the mod fires.

Why is my atomizer low?

A common reason why the atomizer low warning occurs during vaping is that the coil was not properly made, the connection is loose, it is not seated correctly, or it does not have an insulator. Another reason a user might get this warning is that he or she misjudged the size of the build.

How to fix a 510 coil?

Here is a checklist of things to do: 1 Take the atomizer off of the mod 2 Tighten the coil all the way. It could be that the coil is loose 3 Check the 510 connection, and thoroughly clean the threading of the mod and atomizer with a q-tip 4 Make sure the 510 connection makes contact with the mod

What does low atomizer mean?

Atomizer Low means that the coil resistance is too low. Vapers who see any of these messages on their mod should stop using the vape immediately. But do not worry. These issues can be solved quickly so that the user can get back to vaping as soon as possible.

How to fix a syringe?

Here are a few things to try to resolve this issue: 1 Make sure the batteries are charging them properly by putting them in a separate charger 2 If using an RDA/ RTA, check and see if the coil is touching the cap or deck. 3 See if there are any breaks in the coil 4 Ensure that the coil is fully screwed into the tank 5 Use different coils from the pack to see if it is only that one coil 6 Use a different mod
