In bypass mode the mod works like a mechanical mod. Don't use it if you don't know what it is, it can go really wrong. If you want to know more, research mechanical mod :) It's a mode where it kind of acts like a mech. It dumps the wattage left in the battery.

Yes it emulates a mechanical mod. This means that the amount of power applied to the coil is controlled by the resistance of the coil, and the remaining voltage in the battery.
