Check the Battery
A vaping device's battery is often the main reason why there's no flavor from a vape. Just because your e-juice is producing big, thick clouds doesn't mean that your battery is full or functioning optimally. It may lack the necessary power for your vape to release that mouth-watering flavor.

Why is my vape not getting flavour?

Getting weak or no flavour from your vape often happens because of incorrect device wattage or airflow settings. But using the wrong e liquids can also make your vape taste of nothing, as can forgetting to prime new vape coils, blockages, flooded wicks or the wrong mouthpiece. What is stopping you from getting more flavour from your vape

Should you switch to a different flavor when vaping?

Some people suggest switching to a completely different flavor to see if you can give your taste buds a jump start, although most would agree this really isn’t a “cure.” In general, the most effective thing to do is to take a break from vaping altogether for a day or two and see if your body recovers.

What happens if you Vape a new coil without priming?

Vaping new coil too soon or without priming Vaping on a brand new disposable coil without priming it first can mean your vape tastes of nothing, or even worse, give you a burnt taste or dry hit. This usually happens in tank systems that use replaceable cotton coils.

What happens if you let too much air in your vape?

And too much air rushing onto your coil can dull vapour flavour even more than not enough air can. Mouth-to-lung e-cigarettes are designed to work with restricted airflow to allow short bursts of intensely-flavoured vapour with even the shortest of puffs. This means they won’t give you as much flavour if you allow too much air in.

How do I make my vape juice more flavorful?

Often, when someone is not getting enough flavor from their vape juice liquid, they are not letting it steep long enough, which is just letting it spend time in a cool, dark place. Steeping will let the flavor settle and can substantially improve the flavor.

Why does my new coil have no flavor?

If you let the sticky residue build up, you're likely to notice a loss of e-juice flavour. This is because the accumulation can prevent the coils from reaching the proper temperature for heating the liquid, which may prevent the flavour from being released. To clear the residue, use warm water or isopropyl alcohol.

Why does my vape taste dull?

Hydration. Dry mouth and dehydration are among the most common causes of vaper's tongue. As taste buds dry out, they are less capable of registering flavors. This can result in things tasting off or losing their flavors.

Can't taste any vape flavors?

Another reason you can't taste e-liquid is that you might have developed flavour fatigue. This is where your sense of smell and your taste buds have been overworked from vaping too much. Simply take a break, ensure you are hydrated, and you will be back to normal in no time!

Should I shake my vape juice?

With both the layering of flavors and the off-gassing of molecules being huge problems, how could it even be possible to fix the flavors in your e-juice? That's right, you guessed it. Shaking the e-liquid bottle mixes up all of those layers that settled over time, and mixes the gas back in as well.

Can Dentists tell if you vape?

The answer is yes. While some people switch from smoking to vaping because they may think vaping is a safer alternative to smoking, studies show that it is just bad for your teeth and gums. Vaping has the same adverse effects on your oral health as smoking and your dentist WILL be able to tell.

Does vaping wreck your teeth?

Vaping can cause long term damage to your teeth, mouth and gums. Teeth exposed to vaping aerosol, increases the risk of dry mouth which can to lead to tooth decay, gum disease and bad breath.

What wattage should I vape at?

On the contrary, even 10 watts is sufficient to guarantee a satisfying vape, which may be ideal for new vapers. As you become more experienced, it's safe to say that vaping starts to shine between the range of 40 and 50 watts.

1. Low Battery

The first thing to check when you stop getting the desired flavor from your vape is your device’s batteries.

2. Cartridge

If you’re using a vape with a cartridge, this could be a sign that it’s time to swap out for a fresh one. Your device may be pulling just enough leftover liquid to give you a vapor cloud, but you definitely won’t be getting the robust flavor of a full, or even half-full, vape pod.

3. Atomizers

If you haven’t swapped out your atomizer lately, it might be time to do so. As you fill your tank and vape it down to zero again and again, small amounts of residue build up on your coil. This can cause the coil to heat poorly or unevenly. Sure, you will still get some vapor with continued use, but you definitely won’t enjoy the taste.

4. Adjusting Your Device

After checking for any parts that may have worn out, it’s time to try adjusting your device. Some flavors perform best in drip atomizers, while others do well in tanks. Adjusting your wattage upward may bring out flavors that were missing at first.

5. Steeping Your Liquid

On the less technical side of things, it could be that your liquid needs some time to steep before you vape it. The need to steep e-liquids is often a result of manufacturers shipping the products out immediately after mixing without letting them settle first.

Make Sure Your E-Liquid Is Suitable for Your Gear

It may sound surprising, but not every e-juice is suitable for every piece of vaping gear. That’s why it’s important to read the manufacturer’s instructions. If you pretend they don’t exist, you might be making a mistake that costs you your favorite flavors.

Adjust the Wattage

Adjusting the wattage on your vaping device can be another solution to your MIA flavor. That also has to do with the compatibility of your gear and e-juice.

Check the Battery

A vaping device’s battery is often the main reason why there’s no flavor from a vape. Just because your e-juice is producing big, thick clouds doesn’t mean that your battery is full or functioning optimally. It may lack the necessary power for your vape to release that mouth-watering flavor.

Clean Your Tank and Vape Coils

The more you vape, the more residue builds up in and around your vaping device’s atomizer, including the coils. Cleaning them will improve your overall vaping experience, as you’ll prevent dry-burns and taste a clean e-liquid flavor.

Steep Your E-Liquid

Steeping your e-liquid is another viable solution if there’s little to no flavor from your vape. It’s actually something you should do with every vape juice, as it enhances the flavor significantly.

Conclusion

Tasting no flavor from your vapes can be frustrating, especially when you’re dying to try that new e-juice you just bought. Luckily, these quick solutions should help you restore the flavor in no time and let you get back to high-quality vaping.

Battery

One possible reason that your vape is producing less vapor than normal is a weak battery. In many devices with a non-adjustable power output, as a battery drains the power output suffers. In some adjustable devices, the control chip will even scale down the mod's power output as batteries near the end of their charge cycle to preserve the cells.

Coil

Another reason that your vape might be producing less vapor is because of an old or dirty coil. Coils have a relatively short lifespan, and while some will last for weeks you may find yourself getting only a few days' life out of some devices if you're a heavy vaper.

Turn Up the Power

If you're using an adjustable mod and you've never been happy with your flavor or vapor production, maybe you just need some more power.

What Can You Do

Having a vape that's not producing the level of vapor you'd like is inconvenient, but most of the time it’s an easily fixable problem. The best thing that you can do is maintain your gear on a daily basis, and realize that the internal components will naturally wear out over time.

Make Sure Your E-Liquid Is Suitable for Your Gear

It may come as a surprise, but not every e-juice is compatible with every type of vaping equipment. That is why it is critical to follow the manufacturer’s directions. If you pretend they don’t exist, you might be wasting your favourite flavours.

Adjust the Wattage

Another solution to your MIA taste is to adjust the wattage on your vaping device. This is also related to the compatibility of your equipment and e-juice.

Check the Battery

The battery in a vaping device is frequently the cause of a lack of flavour. Just though your e-juice is producing enormous, thick clouds doesn’t indicate your battery is full or operating at peak efficiency. It may lack the necessary power for your vaporizer to produce that delectable flavour.

Clean Your Tank and Vape Coils

The more you vape, the more residue accumulates in and around the atomizer of your vaping device, including the coils. Cleaning them will improve your entire vaping experience by preventing dry-burns and allowing you to taste a clean e-liquid flavour.

Steep Your E-Liquid

Steeping your e-liquid is another option if your vape has little to no taste. It’s something you should do with every vape juice because it dramatically improves the flavour.

Conclusion

It can be aggravating to taste no flavour from your vapes, especially if you’re eager to sample that new e-juice you just purchased. Fortunately, these fast fixes should help you recover the flavour quickly and go back to high-quality vaping.

1. Over Flavored

This is usually the main reason why. Beginners get into mixing, and they want something with tons of flavor. So they see some people using flavors at 3% and they think “well I want a lot of flavor so I’ll use 15%”. It makes sense, it’s but actually counterintuitive. More Flavoring =/= More Flavor.

Keep It Simple

K.I.S.S. That’s always the best way to mix when you’re learning the ropes. There’s no need to strive for Rhodonites when you don’t fully understand the intricacies of each ingredient. What happens when you make an overly complex recipe that isn’t refined, is that you lose a lot of each flavorings main components.

3. Vapors Tongue

Vapors Tongue (or what it’s really known as Olfactory Fatigue) is when you have prolonged exposure to an aroma to the point where your nose adapts to it no longer allowing you to smell that specific aroma.

Maybe keep vaping it a bit, let the wick break in. Did you thoroughly saturate the wick with juice before filling the tank? I take it plenty of vape, you just can't taste it, or not really much vape, either.

I mean it looks fine enough... what wattage are you vaping at? Could also be a case of vaper's tongue.

VictorViper Ultra Member ECF Veteran

I'm not familiar with that atty, so I'll end things here, but if it were me and that was my first build, it'd be back to the drawing board. Small changes have massive impact, keep at it.

VictorViper Ultra Member ECF Veteran

Hopefully someone with the atty will be by soon to give you a little more customized advice. Something as extreme as zero flavour would usually come along with a hackjob of a coil pic, but happily that's not the case here... sadly makes it tougher to diagnose.

Have you tried restricting the airflow? Too much air will dilute any flavors.

stols001 Moved On ECF Veteran

Yes I don't know that RTA either, but is this your first RTA? Everything seems a bit different in those at first, and wicking is much harder. Your coils look good, I'd consider experimenting with your wicking, but you may not get the same "taste and feel" that you will with premanufactured coils, it's just not the same.

Tonee N Vaping Master Verified Member ECF Veteran

Have you brushed/thinned out the wicks before reassembling the tank using tweezers? Before you reassemble it spread the wicks apart that go into the well, apart inside the well to allow more liquid to get to the wicks.
