Read this. With Smok coils quality control is an issue as well. Try using a needle to add some holes to the coils wick ports on the side.

If you do change the coil, make sure you thoroughly prime it prior to putting it into the tank. The cotton should glisten like a slushy drink. A few drops won't cut it. Also lower the wattage setting until the coil is broken in properly...maybe half of a tank full. Then you can reset your wattage to a higher setting.

Sounds like you didn't prime the coil properly and have the wattage set too high maybe. Pop in a new coil, prime the .... out of it and run the mod at 50-65 watts. Increase watts if needed later.

If you've been using the same coil for a week with a sweetened juice my guess is the coil is done. It will start out as a slight burn but get progressively worse until you decide to change the coil.
