I know you want to get vaping right away but take a dry hit and 1, it will taste gross and 2, it will burn out your coil before you’ve even used it. Once you have installed the coil, top the tank up with juice and leave it to sit for a while.
Check your e-liquid

It happens to me from time to time (vaping for 2+years) and I find eating something like chips or dry cereal makes it go away. But everyone is different.

Just to test, since pg/vg are the same, try a different flavor or even flavorless from the same brand of juice. Also if you have changed hardware in any way, that can be a factor.

I found out that only certain flavours tickle my throat, trying different juice may help you find out what's causing the cough. Hope things get better !
