I have had my sigelei 20w going on the 2nd day now. On more than a couple of occasions I will press the fire button to have a vape and the device will completely shut off and will not come back on until I take the battery out and turn it back on. It has happened while using a sony vtc4 and an efest battery, both are 18650.

My guess would be that you are experiencing a short likely in your atomizer coil. I would check it carefully or rebuild a new one. Make sure everything is as it should be with the coil and atomizer. Once you fix it that should do the trick. It is a safety feature.

It is doing with two different coils. One at 1.1 the other at 1.4 ohms. It has happened with both the batteries mentioned above both batteries had a charge around 4volts. It usually happens when I get around the 18w range which is where I found my kayfun performs amazingly with the 1.4 coil.

The same batteries are working perfectly in my svd but no I don't know anyone else who uses them. I am the only one of all my friends who vape the rest still smoke regular cigs. And the closest b&m is about an 1-1.5 hour drive.

Battery could be losing connection, do you have the new gold spring? Flat tops or button tops?

dude mine does this all the time. It's just a minor annoyance. I click it back on and i'm back to vaping again. I dont know what is causing it. I thought battery connection at first, but it does it with 18350s wheres theres definitely contact because it's a tight spring at that point. It does it with every battery I have.

nahoku Super Member Verified Member ECF Veteran

Well, either you're losing connection with the battery, or it sounds like your center pin is shorting out. What happens if you press the button when no delivery device is attached? Does the vamo still shut down? It's possible that when you read ohms it'll be ok, but when you try to vape, you start drawing current and the vamo shuts itself down.

rver Super Member ECF Veteran

Mine does the same thing with new 18650's...about once a day...I leave it as is.

White Rabbit Ultra Member Verified Member ECF Veteran

Another thought: The Vamo will auto shut off if you hold the fire button for over 10 seconds (I believe). I found that if you hold the button too long for a lot of vapor, the Vamo will shut off completely, and needs to be restarted with 5 fast clicks again.

having the same issue here, adjusted the center pin and really didn't notice a difference. I have been rocking a vivi nova and from what I have heard on the grapevine is that vivi's are notorious for compacting center pins. going to try out my new AGA T and AGI to see if I continue to have the same problem.

hvac999 Ultra Member Verified Member ECF Veteran

I agree with the earlier post. Mine turns itself off about once a day. I turn it back on and that's it. If yours is turning off all the time then you do have a problem.
