Basically, you have to ask. I use to be able to vape in a local Smoke-free casino, but, not now. They changed the rules. Unfortunately, to some, if it looks like smoke, it must be smoke. Be courteous and ask. My local Hardee's just put up a sign, it says, No Smoking, No E-cigs.

Also, it does set off some smoke alarms on the boat I work on. We have particulate and heat alarms, the heat ones do not go off, but blow vapor at the particulate one and it goes off. It does it for hairspray too!
