I purchased smok vape pen 22 and it was working perfectly. One coil was good and the other was was leaking. If you held down the button, it would quit firing after 8 seconds. The only way to fire longer without a pause is malfunction. If it had a removable battery, removing it might reset its brain (although it might have problems still), but you can't.

I read the specs on your setup, and it uses a 510 connection between the tank and battery (doesn't look like it in pic) Its possible you may have to use a toothpick or something to raise the center pin on the battery. To me it sounds like a connection problem.
