Well a vape will mostly just vape the thc off the outside of the stems. I have tried it a few times but in my opinion, its not worth it man. I just toss them now.

Vaping is different than smoking. If you vape them, it will only remove the thc on the outside of the stem and leave the stem just as it was when your put it into the vape. Smoking it incinerates the entire stem which gives you a headache. Though vaping stems probably wouldn't have that great of an outcome anyway.
