Vaping can sometimes cause a dry mouth simply by requiring so much mouth breathing (inhaling a vape), which can dry up saliva. When we don't have enough saliva, the ability to taste is almost non-existent. Flavor fatigue is another culprit behind vape tongue resulting in you not tasting your e-juice.Oct 10, 2021

How can I make my vape flavor taste again?

Vapers have noted that using mouthwash and a tongue scraper also help in being able to taste your e-juice better. Using mouthwash is one way to refresh your palate although there may be a temporary loss in taste.

Why is it hard to inhale my vape?

If you're struggling to inhale, something isn't right — your vape is most likely clogged. Making matters worse, when a vape cart clogs, you might get a mouth full of vape juice and sticky hands instead of a silky smooth hit of delta 8 THC.

How long should you pull on a vape?

The general rule is to wait 15 to 30 seconds before puffing again. For people who are trying to quit smoking, 30 seconds can be a long wait.

Does vaping make you lose weight?

Using smoking alternatives like e-cigarettes and vapes to lose weight is not effective in the long term. However, it could be a useful tool in the short-term for current smokers who are worried about weight gain to attempt to quit cigarettes.

Complimentary Flavours

This is something we all know about, but as new vapers it might be something we didn't think would affect the taste of our e-cigarette. What I'm talking about here is the same thing as brushing your teeth before having a cup of tea, or on the other side of the coin, having a glass of red wine with your steak.

Illness and Tiredness

When you have a cold, flu or aren't feeling 100% for whatever reason, it will affect the taste of your vapour. It sounds fairly obvious as I'm typing it now, but it really did surprise me the first couple of times I experienced it and it can be quite dramatic.

Fresh Coils and Old Coils

I think most would agree that the best flavour you get is on the second or third fill of your e-cigarette device. From there on in it's a gradual downhill path, until it gets to the point where you start tasting a burnt dirty flavour or it just deteriorates to a simple lack of taste and vapour production.

Flavour Fatigue

I think flavour fatigue is the main reason for what people call 'Vapers Tongue', when vapers can't taste any flavour in their e-liquids. We are essentially bombarding our taste-buds with relatively strong flavours all day and sometimes I think we just need to give them a rest.

Empty Tank

There are several root causes for a burnt flavor coming from your vape, but one of the most likely culprits is an empty tank. If you haven’t topped up the liquid in your tank for a while, you run the risk of emptying your liquid reserves, which not only creates the foul-tasting dry hit condition but also wreaks havoc on your hardware.

Overused Coil

Another possibility when it comes to bad flavor is that your coil is spent. Factory-assembled disposable coil heads, particularly the wicking element, have a finite lifespan.

Improper Priming

When you last changed your coil, perhaps you didn’t break it in properly by priming it.

Other Reasons

Other potential reasons for your burnt vapor may include your power settings or your PG/VG viscosity levels. If your power is too high, then it could overheat the coil to the point that it burns the wicking - this is why we recommend starting low and gradually ramping up the power to hit your sweet spot.

Remedies and Tips

The simplest solution to remedy a situation where a burnt coil is seriously affecting your vaping experience is to get a new coil. One glaring indicator that you need a new coil is if your vapor begins to smell and taste funky.

Why does my vape taste burnt?

Burnt vape taste is caused by a combination of two things: Vape juice overheating and combusting – when you vape without any regard to the temperature, you risk overheating your vape juice. When that happens, it starts breaking down into its components, and one byproduct of that process if formaldehyde.

Can you leave vape juice in the car?

There are a few things you can try, though. Make sure that you store your vape juice at room temperature – don’t leave it in your car or on the balcony. The same goes for your vape pen.

What is chain vaping?

Others are more direct-to-lung types. Both styles have their merits. However, there’s also a style known as chain vaping. Essentially, it means that you vape until you’re blue in the face and can’t see a finger in front of your nose.

So I’m not new to vaping I’ve been vaping for about a year and half now and I know a decent amount but I cannot figure out what the problem here is. I have a smok prince tank on a t priv and it’s very hard to pull through and my coil seems to burn very easily almost as if there is something blocking it.

The only thing I can think of is some kind of gunk blocking the airflow hole. My instinct is to take the thing apart and clean it.

I do not use that tank - I use a Kanger top tank mini and I had the airflow piece go bad. Have you dropped it or anything? (I drop mine all the time...lol). I replaced my airflow and mine is fine so you may want to consider that.

Simple ideas first. Are you batteries charged and is the mod firing? As others have advised, check your air intake. Is is blocked, debris (lint, etc) obstructing or a piece of an o-ring down in the base? With a new coil, unprimed, no juice in the tank, can you take a normal draw?

Yes, I'd say you've probably got gunk somewhere, I'd start with a thorough disassembly and cleaning, including the drip tip. Make sure all your seals (O-rings) are present, and where they should be as you reassemble. A failure in the vacuum seal somewhere could be causing vape blockage, etc. depending on where it might be.

Can you set a vape to high?

In case the vaping device you are using has variable wattage, that means you can set it to high. However, with the setting up to a higher wattage, you are likely to experience a harsh hit because more vapor will be produced.

What does it mean when you hit your throat?

The throat hit is the feeling you get at the back of your throat from inhaling an e-cigarette. A strong one usually gives a harsh irritating sensation, a feeling that resembles having a cigarette on its way down your throat. A harsh vape hit is a common occurrence in case you are new to vaping. This might be because you still haven’t sharpened your ...

Does PG affect throat hit?

The vapor temperature greatly affects your power setting’s throat hit. As such, if you increase the power when you are already experiencing a sharp hit from the level of PG in your vape juice, you will experience an even more harsh hit.
