i just picked it up switching from the tfv8 full size. Seems very nice and modest with good vape production. How long do you guys hit it at lower wattage for coil break in and what ratio juice do you use?

It's no different with the full size either they all suck up a lot of juice. DIY makes it cheaper

Just got mine yesterday with the Alien kit. It's a good tank but it's lacking in flavor compared to my Griffin and the TFV8. I just start my power low (around 40 watts) and turn it up until the flavor is good. One thing I like about Smok is their coils always seem to break in quick, and they last a good long time.

I've had my Alien full kit for about 6 weeks now and strongly considering getting another if I can find one in blue at one of my regular vendors. I still have the original Q2 coil in it and still working fine, but I use it sparingly in my rotation with some very clear high VG DIY juice.

Have the coils you've tried lately been allowed to sit for an extended period, like over night? To get super saturated.

I have two Baby Beasts that I run on Fuchai 213s. In one of them I run the Q2 coil at 55 watts, the other I run the T8 coil at 75 watts. I have notices that the Q2's don't seem to last as long as the T8's, but I haven't experienced anything like what has been described in the OP.
