I'm currently using a .22ohm alien coil on my GeekVape Athena mech kit. I'm using a single coil setup with open airflow and a 70/30 juice . The battery is a hOHMlife 18650 rated for 22.1A CDR. I am using the RDA that came with the mod and when I squonk/drip I get a lot of hot spitback at the start.

Are you using a tank or dripper? I'm assuming dripper based on the dual coil. Personally, I would start with a rebuildable tank atomizer and expand from there. These are usually best suited for single coils, however. On my RTA 's I am able to sub-ohm and get massive clouds and flavor using single coil.

If I can recall, I use 26 gauge and I think it was 7-8 wraps on a 2.5 mm gave about .45 ohm but really suggest the ohm meter for you so you know for sure. It has been awhile since I last made one.
