The conventional wisdom is use the lowest wattage where you like the vape. Atm I’m running an aromamizer 7 plus with a .34 coil at 22w

I could not agree more. For a while, I chased everyone else's recommendations. Low ohm's were coming into vogue and I chased those. Finally, I ended up with stainless at 1.8 Ohm on a mechanical REO, I have not looked back. You might find that intolerable.
