This page tells you power range for 0.2 and 0.5 ohm coils. Quite a large range. I guess the 0.3 ohm coil will be somewhere in between. I would start at the low end and work my way up till you hit the spot.

Yes, the coil "recommendations" are just that, and I often vape below them. With each new coil prime thoroughly and then increase you wattage 5 watts at a time until you find a vape you like.

I never even looked at recommendations. I found that higher wattages can give you a full, dense vape easier, but kills the taste. What I do now is go to just about the lowest wattage that will "fire," and just do a priming puff or two to get a full, dense hit. For me that gives me the fullest flavor of the tobacco juices I use.

I will say, I see a lot of sub0hmers requesting "extra" flavoring for their setups. Bleugh, after having quit for a while, I can't even deal with storebought-- too strong, too chemical-ish, and too sweet and dark, some are total coilkillers for me.
