The Baby Beast comes with two coils: The T8 (.15 ohm octo-coil) and the Q2 (.4 ohm dual core). The Q2 is the coil that comes pre-installed on the tank. The Q2 coil allows for slightly more airflow than the T8. The Q2 is rated from 20-50 watts with 30-40 watts being the recommended setting.

So I got to test out my buddies baby beast the other day on 6mg liquid and I loved the hit. I haven't been vaping to long but started with Aspire Nautilus 2. MTL for a week on 1.8 coils. Started DL on their sub ohm coils but the Nautilus 2 just isn't setup for it. I need to lung hit to be happy.

I run the 0.4 q2 coil at 55 watts and it's a great vape. Here are smoks reccomended wattages on their baby coils

I run the Q2 and X4 coils at 45 watts and they both are great. Just realize that you'll be going through a lot more juice compared to the Nautilus 2.

I run my Baby Beast with the X4 coils at 25 to 30 watts maximum which delivers great coil life and flavor in my opinion.

I run the Q2 and 40W, nice performance. Realize at 40W you won't be getting 4 to 5 days of battery life like you are with the mtl setup.

Thanks for the replies. I waited to do some more research before pulling the trigger. Went to 3 vape shops in my area. It's amazing how big vaping is now. Literally more vape shops than gas stations it seems.

Currently running an X4 at 45 watts on my Pico plenty of vapor, and flavor. Battery life sucks, I barely make it through the work day, and carrying a separate juice bottle is mandatory with the tiny capacity, and massive juice consumption.

Just bought the baby beast tank. I wanted to know what setting should I use the coils in and what are they made from? Thanks.

You may want to make sure your air is open far enough, if you don't get enough airflow across the coils they get pretty hot, and burn the cotton. Other than the airflow the only other thing I can think of is you are using too many watts, or you aren't priming the coil well enough.

I have a question, I know it isn't about the coil, though I came here to learn something about those, too, and have, but I also have a question about whether or not the babybeast will fit my Wesmec Reuleaux RXmini mod. Any idea if it will fit?

SmokenBills84

Thank you. I hope to see a notable improvement in quality compared to the tank which came with my mini's mod because, though I'm happy with the wesmec Mod, its tank doesn't seem all that great. but maybe it's just me, I'm still pretty new.

One other reason could be that you need to break in a coil. You prime a new coil with a couple of drops in the coil?
