To get a little bit more out of their E-cig, some vapers (Electronic Cigarette users) buy larger batteries and combine them with low resistance atomizers / tanks. (1.8Ω) When you use a 3.7 volt battery with for instance a 1.5 Ω clearomiser / tank, the vapour production of the E-cig increases to over 9 watts.

What wattage is best for vaping?

Setting your zmax to 9 watts means it'll automatically adjust the voltage based on the resistance of your atomizer to achieve 9 watts. i.e. if your atomizer is 1.5 ohms, the zmax will adjust the voltage to ~3.7v to give you 9 watts; if your atomizer is 2.0 ohm, the zmax will adjust the voltage to 4.2v to give you 9 watts.

How many volts should an atomizer coil have?

Jan 23, 2020 · When you use a 3.7 volt battery with for instance a 1.5 Ω clearomiser / tank, the vapour production of the E-cig increases to over 9 watts. This still doesn’t equal the performance a variable voltage / wattage e-cig can achieve (up to 12 watts at 6 volts with a 3.0Ω clearomiser / …

What is the best way to adjust wattage in a vape device?

Answer (1 of 5): I set mine at low simmer and it’s ready when I get home from work! Boy howdy! Makes the house smell mm mm good!!

What does high wattage mean on a vaporizer?

Aug 18, 2015 · Temperature control (TC) in vape mods is a technological solution for dry and burnt hits. It also creates a consistent vape while taking longer drags because the temp stays the same—instead of getting hotter. The user chooses the temperature limit, typically from a range of 300°F to 600°F (100°C to 315°C).

An Introduction to Voltage Watts and Ohms

1. Resistance (Ohms) 2. Which resistance should I use? 3. Variable Voltage 4. Variable Voltage vs Variable Wattage 5. mAh Explained 6. Sub Ohming

What Ohm Resistance Should I Use in My Clearomiser?

There’s no one answer (although the sub-ohm chart above may help) – it depends on you, the vapour and throat hit you prefer, as well as the voltage...

Variable Voltage E-Cigs Explained

The resistance of your atomiser is not the only thing which controls the amount of vapour, flavour and throat hit that are produced. It also depend...

Variable Voltage vs Variable Wattage Devices

What Does Mah in E-Cig Batteries Mean?

You’ve probably seen mAh used to describe electronic cigarette batteries. mAh is important because it measures how long a battery lasts. Going back...

Advanced Explanation of Voltage, Watts and Ohms For Vapers

What is variable wattage vape?

For selective vapers, variable-wattage vapes are the right way to follow. They allow them to tailor their vaping experience by fine-tuning their devices to their wattage of preference and depending on the kind of vape flavor they are using.

What does high wattage mean?

High wattage implies that more power is supplied to the coil. Increasing the power in the coil generates more heat resulting in better flavor delivery and production of huge vapor clouds – ideal for pulling crazy tricks like smoke rings. Conversely, to get a cool vapor cloud, simply reduce your wattage level.

What does ohm mean in atomizers?

An ohm (Ω) is a unit of resistance. Essentially, the lower the resistance of your coil, the more electricity will flow through it. Increase the amount of resistance and less electricity will flow through. So when you use a lower resistance atomiser, and more electricity flows through, you will find the following:

What is a vape device?

Vape devices use simple circuits that contain a battery, a switch and a heating coil. The circuit is effectively a controlled short, with the power output from the battery used to create heat.

What is the difference between variable voltage and variable wattage?

The difference between variable voltage and variable wattage is a bit like the difference between an automatic and a manual car. With a variable voltage device, you manually control the amount of power (voltage) going through your device.

What is variable voltage?

With a variable voltage device, you manually control the amount of power (voltage) going through your device. The amount of energy that is actually output will depend on how the resistance of your atomiser interacts with that power flowing through it. A variable wattage device is different.

How does variable wattage work?

The variable wattage device will then automatically adjust the power going through the atomiser (the voltage) to produce the power output you need (the wattage).

What is a milliampere hour?

A milliampere hour (mAh) is 1000th of an ampere hour (Ah). Both are used as a measure of battery capacity, a higher mAh rating means more capacity. mAh only measures capacity and should not be confused with power.

What is the resistance of a sub ohm coil?

The term sub-ohm, while still used, is not as relevant as it used to be. Coils below 1 ohm are common, and coils with a resistance of 0.8 ohms are often used for Mouth-to-Lung vaping. Even lower resistance coils, such as 0.15 coils, are often used for cloud vaping.

Wattage and its effect on your vape

If you are a rookie vaper you may be confused by what the term wattage means and its role in your vape. Heck, some seasoned vapers are still a bit confused! But it’s ok I’m going to break it down for you.

What is Wattage?

A Watt is a measure of the amount of power used by an electrical device. Essentially it refers to the rate in which electricity is used and can be defined as (Voltage x Voltage) / Resistance = Wattage.

Choosing the right gear for adjusting your voltage

There are two ways you can approach the gear you want to use for sub-ohming.

Can you adjust wattage on a vape mod?

Prior to TC, most top vape mods could only adjust watts (another innovation from Evolv a few years prior.) Now in 2020, like wattage control, temperature control is a feature found in most vape mods.

What is the best wire for vaping?

TC vaping generally uses one of these four types of vape wires: 1 Stainless steel: this wire is very popular and readily available. It comes in various grades such as 304, 316, 316L, 317, and 430 but the most common is SS316L. SS can be used in wattage or temperature control mode. 2 Nickel 200: commonly known as ni200, it was the first temperature control coil but it’s less common now due to some vapers having sensitivities to nickel. 3 Titanium Grade 1: otherwise known as Ti. It works well in TC but the user has to make sure it does not get overheated. 4 Nickel ferrous: also known as NiFe, comes in various grades such as 48, 30, 52, 70 and can be used in either mode, but is not widely available.

What type of wire do you use for vaping?

Next, you must vape with the right wire type. TC vaping generally uses one of these four types of vape wires: Stainless steel: this wire is very popular and readily available. It comes in various grades such as 304, 316, 316L, 317, and 430 but the most common is SS316L. SS can be used in wattage or temperature control mode.

Resistance isn't what controls how many watts you can use, wicking & airflow is.

well I use low ohm coils as I like a warm vape with a LOT of flavor. My preferred range is around .2 ohms at about 75 watts. I get huge clouds of vapor and the flavor is out of this world.

prebuilt coils so with the eleaf 60w my subtank is fine? Please tell me what is the difference between low ohm coils and high ohm?
