What wattage should I use for vaping?
Nov 11, 2018 · There's no set answer. I use an RDA exclusively... which is built with a single coil at 1.8 ohms, and I vape it at 9.5 or 10 watts. My son sometimes builds one of his RTAs to about .5 ohm, and vapes it at 20-25 watts. Start low, and work up till it suits you.

22 watts is fine to chain vape it. It's because of how I hit it and the limited airflow this tank has. If that exact build was in a different tank with more airflow, I could probably chain vape it at 32 watts without getting a dry it.

In other words, power output drops when battery voltage has to be boosted. 50W into 1.1 would require even more voltage, or an even lower resistance would be needed to avoid the need for voltage boost. I'm not always willing to look up the detailed specs of a device (or start up Steam Engine) for an internet post, but if this were mine I'd either need to look it up, or realize it may not work if I try it.

Airflow has a direct impact on flavor. . in general terms, more air=less flavor in most cases. Flavor is also very device dependent. the same wattage vape in one device may produce a completely different result in another device. Your best bet is to test it out and find that sweet spot that works in your device for you.
Is the Igo L a good flavor?
Switched to a Derringer and have been able to get good flavor at low power. The Igo-L is a smaller atty so should be able to get flavor at lowish power, maybe not quite as low as the Derringer. I just got my first rda and built a dual coil build that comes out to .35 ohms. I'm all about pushing it as far as I can go so what other information do I need to figure out the watt range?

My personal rule of thumb is whatever the wattage is at 3.7 volts. With a .35ohm coil that would be 40 watts or 39.114 Watts to be exact.

Would the reason for that be because of the certain batteries and the amount of batteries you are using? I know that plays a factor into all of this... I'm just trying to figure out how to calculate it.

You can get a ohm calculator for your smart phone. You can go higher on your wattage depending on your personal preference. My reason is that's basically the wattage I would get on my mech mod. Start at 40 watts and go up a little or down until you get the taste you like.

So if I am running 3 18650 LG HG2's what would my amps be? 60 since each is rated for 20 amps? That would mean I could run a wattage theoretically safely until the calculation went over 60? or 20?
