Best tanks for high VG Juices
Not all tanks however are designed to cope with high VG juices. The higher the VG concentration the ticker the liquid. The thicker the liquid, the harder for it to saturate cotton inside the coil through small wicking holes. Dry hits are usually the first sign that something is wrong.

Vape tanks and atomizer coils are what create the clouds and flavors that vapers love. Depending on the type of tank along with the coil types, users can fine-tune their vaping style based on their preferences. Vape tank designs play a large role in determining what kind of vaping style it offers. They are mostly divided into either mouth-to-lung tanks or direct-lung tanks each with their own specifications and features.
What is a temp control vape tank?
Any tank can be a temp control vaping tank as long as you use an appropriate coil and a vape mod that has TC capability. It is the coil material used in the atomizer coil the determines whether or not you can use any given vapor tank in TC mode.

Atomizer / Coil – the atomizer coil is the heart of the vape tank. The atomizer coil contains the heating coil and wick material, ideally organic Japanese cotton. The resistance level of the coil determines how much power is drawn from the battery and how much heat is generated.
What is sub ohm vape?
Sub Ohm vape tanks are designed for sub-ohm vaping, which is vaping with an atomizer that has a resistance less than 1.0 ohms. The idea behind sub ohm vaping is to generate more vapor production. The lower resistance coils draw more power from the batteries which vaporize more e-liquid creating more vapor than an MTL tank.
What is an RDA atomizer?
An RDA is a rebuildable drip atomizer. The best RDAs offer a large atomizer deck that makes the building and installation of DIY coils easier. RDAs do not typically have a reservoir of e-liquid to keep the wick saturated. Instead, you drip e-liquid directly onto the coils as needed. This is called dripping. An RDA is not really a vape tank.
What is MTL vaping?
Mouth-to-lung, or MTL, refers to a style of vaping that is similar to smoking a traditional cigarette, complete with the familiar throat hit of regular smoking. Draw the vapor into your mouth and then inhale.
What is VG in vape juice?
VG has a number of properties that make it ideal as a food ingredient. It retains moisture and prevents baked goods from becoming stale. It also inhibits microbial growth and helps to delay spoilage. Another interesting property of VG, though, is that it tastes sweet. That’s useful for e-liquid because many people prefer sweet-tasting vape juices. A max VG e-liquid can taste sweet even if it doesn’t contain a large amount of sucralose, which is a good thing because sucralose causes coil gunk and shortens coil life.
Why do people like VG e-liquid?
Perhaps the biggest reason why some people prefer max VG e-liquids is because a thicker e-liquid produces bigger clouds. Many vapers absolutely love huge clouds, and even if you’re not one of those people, you may still appreciate the fact that a high-VG e-liquid offers a more substantial mouth feel compared to a vape juice consisting of mostly PG. VG-based e-liquids feel thick and creamy in the mouth, whereas PG-based e-liquids don’t really feel like much of anything at all. If you want an e-liquid that makes it possible for you to produce your own personal weather systems, though, a max VG e-liquid is definitely the vape juice for you.
Is VG a synthetic or natural compound?
PG is usually derived from natural ingredients, but it is a synthetic compound produced in laboratories. VG, on the other hand, is a completely natural compound. Although it isn’t an oil, it’s derived from vegetable oil used during the soapmaking process. The creation of soap involves mixing lye with oil, and the lye triggers a chemical reaction that creates soap and glycerin. Some soap makers add some of the glycerin back to their soap for its moisturizing properties, and others save the glycerin for other uses. If you’d like to avoid using synthetic ingredients for vaping as much as possible, you’ll probably appreciate the fact that VG is a natural compound.
Is VG thicker than PG?
As we’ve already described, VG is much thicker than PG. That’s great if you have a sub-ohm tank that can handle thick e-liquids, but you’re probably not going to have a great experience if you try to use a max VG vape juice in a small pod vaping system or a mouth-to-lung tank. If you use a tank or pod system with small wick openings, a very thick e-liquid like a max VG vape juice will have trouble flowing through those openings as you vape.
Is VG or PG better for vaping?
Most people find that VG-based vapor feels very smooth in the throat, while PG-based vapor feels a bit on the scratchy side. How you feel about that may depend on where you are in your vaping journey. If you have just started vaping, you might prefer a higher-nicotine e-liquid that offers an assertive throat hit. If that’s the case, max VG e-liquid may not be the best choice for you. Max VG is perfect, though, if you prefer a smoother vaping experience and don’t care about throat hit.

I ordered some 30/70 juice, and I'm wondering if all of my tanks can handle it? I have a feeling that the iSub G won't be able to handle it, because the cotton in the coils is wound so tight, but I usually poke a couple small holes in the iSub G coils with a needle before using so that may help.

From what ive seen the wicking holes on atomizers play the biggest role. Now using the same 90% vg juice, i can only run about 18w on the isub and subtank mini. With my arctic tank i can blast it up to 40w no problem. There is a direct relationship between wicking density, wick holes, juice viscosity, and wattage applied.

My Subtank had an issue with maxvg if I hit it too often, once every 5 mins or so was OK but a second pull would be dry. I cut it with about a 10th of 50/50 juice and it worked OK. I don't think it will have an issue with what you're talking about.

Everyone has different experiences, DanJiblets enjoyed a totally different one then me. I couldnt get 70% vg through my atlantis to save my life. Yes I prime correctly, but if I have to wait minutes between hits, that tank is gone.

I can't get the Silo Beast with .5 Atlantis V2 or the stock Beast coils to wick 70vg juice at all without dry hits at 30 watts unless I wait a few minutes after 1 hit. Like LoveMyTank said above, it's useless.
