Can you fix a short circuited vape?

Pull the base of the coil out slight then reassemble the tank and make sure the coil is on tight. If the coil is on tightly and still reading atomizer short then you might have a bad coil. Sometimes there could be one or two bad/defective coils so try using a new coil from the pack to see if that is the issue.

What does coil short mean?

Coils may have a short Also, some people may misjudge the size of their builds, causing their coil to touch the chamber and short out—and that will cause an “atomizer short” or an “atomizer low” error. What does it mean when a vape mod says it has a short circuit?

When your vape mod tells you that it has a short circuit, it means that something is critically wrong with the electrical circuit connecting the battery in your vaping device to the atomizer coil. You might get the “Atomizer Short” message, for instance, if unexpected metal-on-metal contact occurs inside your tank. For example, maybe the coil in your tank is cross-threaded, so the coil is seated a little higher in the tank’s base than it should be, and that’s causing the tank’s chimney to touch the heating wire inside the coil. A manufacturing defect in the coil can also cause a short circuit.

What does it mean when a vape mod says "Time Out"?

The message “Time Out” means that the length of your puff has exceeded what your vape mod’s puff timer will allow. Most vaping devices have built-in puff timers that help to prevent overheating. Suppose, for instance, that you’re carrying your vape mod in your pocket, and you’ve forgotten to lock it. You inadvertently push and hold the mod’s fire button when you sit down. In other cases, the message simply means that the battery’s charge is too low for the device to operate at the wattage you’ve set. In that case, lowering the wattage may allow you to continue vaping for a little longer before charging the battery. Otherwise, though, you’ll need to charge the battery before you resume vaping.

Make sure there is no breaks along the coil as well. Sub ohm tanks require a connection to the tank base. Pull out the coil slightly and reassemble the tank. RDA RTA and RDTA atomizers may simply need their post screws tightened. Sub ohm tanks with manufactured coils will sometimes ship with a bad coil. Try out a second one from the pack. External ohm readers could help you check atomizer range. If you have one of these devices you could see if the resistance is within the proper limits of your device.

first, remove atty and press fire button and see if it sez no atty... if it does than the atty is the issue, if it sez short or low res, then you have a mod issue...

Try changing ur atty if u have a spare one... And if possible put new coils in it..if its the same, your mod may be the problem..

I'm not sure the reason for your mod reading that, though I think it could be many things. I did want to address the dropping issue.... I bought nylon but small and fat tank protectors to wrap around my glass, and they're pretty cheap on amazon, they're like mini Pharmstrong yellow bracelets only they're small and made for tanks.
