Variable voltage is all about playing with the voltage until it's just right for the juice your are vaping and the coil it's being vaped upon. It's kind of like TV volume. Here's a calculator for calculating wattage. Just enter ohms and volts and you'll get wattage. By using diff ohms you can adjust the wattage BUT you don't want to go too low as you may damage your batts.
