Sucralose
The most commonly used sweetener on the vaping market is sucralose. And it doesn’t come as a surprise! Sucralose is much stronger than most of the other sweeteners, and formulas only require a small amount of it to create an intense sugary taste.
Ethyl Maltol
Yet another option on our list is ethyl maltol. This substance is not a sweetener per se but more of a flavor enhancer. It doesn’t work on the sweetness receptors on our tongues however it still can sweeten up any vape juice as it provides a taste quite similar to cotton candy.
Erythritol
Another great sweetener? It has to be erythritol, a sugar alcohol made from fermented corn. It is a less sweet option that has about 70% of the sweetness of sucrose. So if that substance is in your e-juice, you don’t have to worry about “sugar lips”’ feeling.
Vegetable Glycerine (VG)
Not many users realize that one of the most common ingredients found in vape juices also can be a pretty great sweetener. What exactly are we talking about? Of course, it is none other than vegetable glycerine. VG has a slightly sweet taste, and it is even commonly used to sweeten various foods.
Stevia
Stevia is a relatively new, plant-based sweetener that is slightly less intense than sucralose, but it still provides a pretty good amount of sweetness. Unfortunately, similarly to the sucralose, it will leave on your coils a lot of gunk, created during caramelization.
Natural sweeteners
Of course, we have to remember that flavor concentrates can also be used to sweeten the formula. They are not part of the traditional sweeteners we mentioned before, but they certainly have the ability to add or elevate sweetness to the product.
Why should you avoid e-liquid with sweeteners?

I researched the posts on this site, but could not find a definitive answer to the following question. I find that I prefer a slightly sweeter taste in some of my vendor prepared e-liquids so I purchased some Sucralose liquid and Stevia crystals from a DIY e-liquid distributor with which to experiment.

I used liquid Sucralose when I first began DIY but it was my experience that it caused my coils to gunk up quicker so I ceased adding it to mine. I used 1 drop per 10ml of liquid. (just what I used). You may find that cotton candy flavoring will add the sweetness you are looking for in your juices.

Sorry 'bout the long-winded first response, but for a more direct reply to your questions, if those are indeed pure stevia crystals you have, you might try emailing a company in FL called Emperor's Herbologist and ask what ratio to mix with PG to achieve something similar to store-bought liquid sweeteners.

Maybe I'm missing out, but I don't add any sweeteners to my liquids. I vape mostly creamy desserts and find them sweet enough with just the flavorings. I tried the EM, but to me it ruins what was a good juice .

One of the most important things to note is that sucralose contains chlorine which can be harmful if consumed in large amounts. Chlorine is considered to have carcinogenic (cancer causing) effects. Also, excess or regular intake of sucralose can lead to toxicity. The following are the minor side effects in children and adults.

That's sort of why I am looking for more natural alternatives, is any sweetener particularly better/worse for vaping? I'm trying to keep sweetener low...but I do like sweetness..

94 Sobucky Super Aroma First Impressions!
I'm very deliberately calling this impressions rather than reviews. To call it a review I'd need to try different concentrations, different steep times. Maybe even a few simple mixes.

Looking for a good black licorice recipe
I have been searching, and many of the obscure posts with flavors from Europe no longer exist. I just used black licorice FW at 6% with pink raspberry at 2%, and it's just missing any real body. I'm not sure what to do or where to go. Thanks.
