Not 100% safe (rarely the chips fail), but that is why we say don't cheap out on the batteries.#N#Of course, the best advice is not to start vaping if you don't smoke. But should you choose to, do it safely. Ask questions in here before trying stuff as you learn. An example is I once saw someone say they wanted to use copper wire. This is a hard NO! Mainly, because the resistance of copper is far below a safe level, and 2ndly, heating copper creates copper oxides, which are not healthy. Just as an example mind you. (but don't try it.)#N#Basically, like everyone else, I recommend not starting vaping if you never smoked and aren't trying to quit. My daughter-in-law never smoked, but now is vaping with the rest of us. Both my sons and my other daughter-in-law, my wife and I all quit and are vaping. She started taking a little vape every now and then because of the flavors, now she vapes whenever she wants, she has always used 0 nic.

kgevans - Don't know if vaping will help your wife with weight loss, but it does really help with the hand to mouth aspect. My daughter and I quit smoking 7-8 years ago. We started vaping about 2 years ago, when stress was really getting to us, and we have not looked back.

Like most have said its not a good idea to start if you never smoked, however an adult can do as you please. Most of us have searched for years to quit smoking, get healthy and vaping is a god send that works! It wasn't for "fun".
