Well like the title says, I dropped my e-cig in the water. I grabbed it as fast as I could but it still was soaking by the time it came out. This was with an auto battery too.

Whenever you drop something like that in water one of the best ways to dry it out is to put it in a bowl with an airtight lid with uncooked white rice. It will draw the moisture out. I have saved I don't know how many cellphones and pagers by doing that.

Well like the title says, I dropped my e-cig in the water. I grabbed it as fast as I could but it still was soaking by the time it came out. I have spilled stuff on laptops before, took them apart cleaned and dried and they still work.
1. The Battery
Some vapes and e-cigarettes feature removable batteries, while box mods contain batteries inside the casing. If your vape got wet and it isn’t a box mod, remove the battery and allow it to air dry, even if it doesn’t seem to have any moisture around it. In some cases, you may need to blot it with a towel or use a blow dryer to remove excess liquid.
2. The Tank
Next, remove the tank and pour out any e-liquid or vape juice inside. To get rid of any remaining buildup or residue, dab a cloth in unflavored, high-proof vodka and thoroughly wipe down the inside of the tank. Then rinse it out with warm water. Dry the tank with a paper towel, and allow it to air dry for at least 10 minutes before reassembling.
3. The Coil Head
Many vapes feature replaceable coils, but others can be washed and dried if your vape gets wet. To clear out buildup from the nicotine and e-liquid, fill a bowl with the same high-proof vodka. Place the coil heads in the solution and allow them to soak for an hour or two.
