I've only smoked from a vaporizer a handful of times, but every time that I have, when I exhale, no visible vapor comes out of my mouth. I don't know if it's the light or something, because the other people who I've been smoking with don't exhale anything visible either, but I know that you're supposed to be exhaling some vapor after your hit.

Try exhaling through a beam of light. A flashlight works well. You can then see the vapor.

noahvale New Member

First off, you don't need to see any vapor to get high. But...........for many of us, we "want" to see those clouds so here's a couple of hints.

pazuzu33 Member

By the very nature of vaporizing you should not see smoke. Igniting the product defeats the purpose of vaping. I too that it was strange but ya just gotta go with it. In time I realized I got better results from my vaporizer then any other form of use.

I use visible cloud on exhale to see if I am getting good extraction and to notify when to re-up bowl.

I'm using Marlboro 18mg PG. I ordered Marlboro 18mg VG on Monday. Haven't received it yet. I hope the VG isn't too mild. Is the VG safer than the PG since it's Vegetable?

also one final point about vapor on exhaling - how long do you hold the "hit" in ? I tend to use a pv like a cigarette, fill my mouth with vapor as I draw on the device, then inhale and bring it to my lungs, and exhale rather soon. I like to see the vapor dancing around me as I exhale, its part of the attraction vaping has for me

What is the difference between e-cigarettes and vapor?

E-cigs heat e-liquid with a small metal coil housed in an atomizer , and the heat turns the e-juice into the vapor you see. E-cigarette vapor doesn’t have any carbon monoxide or tar, and the particles in the aerosol are liquid rather than solid. Dangerous chemicals and metals are found in vapor, but only in tiny quantities.

Who studied the dangers of second hand vaping?

Igor Burstyn’s study of the possible dangers of secondhand vaping attempted to “estimate potential exposures from aerosols produced by electronic cigarettes and compare those potential exposures to occupational exposure standards.” His conclusion: “Exposures of bystanders are likely to be orders of magnitude less, and thus pose no apparent concern.”

What is secondhand vapor?

Secondhand vapor (which is technically an aerosol) is the vapor exhaled into the atmosphere by an e-cig user. Like secondhand smoke, it lingers in the air long enough that anyone in the same room (assuming the room is small enough) is likely to inhale some of the exhaled aerosol. As the name indicates, the bystanders are not inhaling secondhand (or passive) smoke—because secondhand e-cigarette vapor simply isn’t smoke.

Is third hand nicotine inhaled or exhaled?

What isn’t inhaled falls to the ground quite rapidly. Those concerned with “thirdhand nicotine”—the unabsorbed nicotine that lands on floors and furniture—might make a case for not vaping around kids or pets who might lick the surfaces. According to a 2016 University of California-San Francisco study, 93.8 percent of the inhaled nicotine is retained by the user, and is not part of the exhaled vapor.

Does vaping contain VG?

Aside from propylene glycol and glycerin (PG and VG) —the two glycols that make up the base of virtually all e-liquids—what vapers exhale into the air doesn’t contain high levels of anything. According to Drexel University toxicologist Igor Burstyn, while the contents of e-cig vapor inhaled by users “justifies surveillance,” there is so little contamination in exhaled vapor that there is unlikely to be any risk for bystanders.

Can you vape inside a house?

If you encounter people vaping inside a house, all of the secondhand vapor you see comes out of the mouths of the vapers in the room. There is no side stream “vape smoke” like there is side stream tobacco smoke from cigarettes—no constant emission of vapor pouring from the device when it’s not being used.

Vaping and cavities

What happens when the temperature of a coil reaches its limit?

Is it better to vape or smoke?

There is an answer: flavor. If you really need a diacetyl-loaded flavor to enjoy vaping and avoid smoking, it’s better to vape it than to go back to smoking. Cigarettes contain hundreds of times more diacetyl than e-liquids, so vaping is clearly the safer option.

Is diacetyl dangerous in vaping?

There is a lot of debate among vapers around how much we should be worried about diacetyl, if at all. However, as we’ve laid out here, even if we don’t necessarily know if vaping the amounts of diacetyl we're exposed to is dangerous, there is an undeniable risk. At higher quantities – and not that much higher – we know that diacetyl damages the lungs. So why would you choose to have it in your juice?

How to stop coil from reaching high temperature?

When the temperature of the coil reaches your chosen limit, the devices stop firing or reduce the power until the temperature drops.

Do you need more e-liquid?

But with less nicotine, you need more e-liquid to feel satisfied. And although higher-quality devices produce more vapor per puff, most vapers probably still consume more puffs after decreasing their nicotine level. Every puff you take, you’re putting something into your lungs that ultimately isn’t supposed to be there. The process of inhaling vapor leads to some short-term changes in the lungs (for example, an increase in airway resistance). While these won’t necessarily translate to long-term problems, it’s more likely if you put your lungs through it more often.

What Happens When You Inhale an Oil Vape?

This is mainly due to its convenience. They are easy to use, relatively cheap, and can provide a nice strength vapor. All you have to do is attach the cartridge, push the button, and inhale. What is a dry herb vaporizer?

Dry herb vaporizers vape dry herb flowers and use an herb chamber designed similar to a convection oven. This chamber is used to heat the dry herbs to the correct temperature to produce vapor. Dry herb vaporizers require a lower temperature to provide the vapor and produce a lower strength hit than concentrates.

What questions do you have when vaping?

Common ones can include things such as: “do you inhale the vapor?”, “which technique provides a more powerful hit?”, or “how many inhalation methods are there?”. While questions of this nature might sound ridiculous, they are not foolish. After all, every person who vapes wants to have the best experience they can get, and there are multiple inhalation methods for users to choose from (with each method providing a different overall experience)
