what does the check battery mean on vape connexx

by Prof. Thora Kemmer Published 2 years ago Updated 1 year ago

Ok, I looked over the manual and it doesn't say anything about resetting, it does, however, state that the check battery warning means the batteries are installed wrong (reverse polarity). I know it might be a stupid question but have you tried reversing the way you have them installed just in case you installed them the wrong way?

How do vape batteries work?

The battery within the mod (whether internal or external) is operated via the firing button. This passes voltage to the 510 connector, which is applied to the coil in your tank. The coil has a specific resistance and when this voltage is applied to it, current is drawn from the vape battery to heat it.

What is the difference between vape batteries and mods?

Something to keep in mind; one crucial difference when talking about mods and batteries is the difference between a mechanical mod/hybrid mod and a regulated mod. A mechanical mod takes power DIRECTLY from the vape battery, which means it’s important to know that the battery is capable of providing the current required to fire the coil.

What does wattage mean on a vape?

Different wattages can affect multiple things on your vape. A lower wattage will help the battery life of your vape last longer, and provide smoother hits. High wattage settings will deplete the battery much faster, but also provide more potent and heavier hits.

How do I charge my vape?

You just charge, using the supplied charging cable, and vape. It’s recommended to charge until the battery is at full capacity but not essential if you’re in a rush. A word of warning though; you’re not supposed to leave the mod unattended while charging.

How do I know if my vape battery is damaged?

If you are vaping at roughly the same wattage but consistently notice the battery does not last as long as when you first started using it, it's likely an indicator that you need to get a new one. Another sign that a vape battery needs replacing is that it gets hotter than normal either when recharging it or using it.

How often should I replace 18650 batteries?

Your 18650 mod battery – or any other vape battery for that matter – should be free of wear, defects, and damage. It is recommended to replace your battery when you notice any signs of physical damage.

How many times can a 18650 battery be recharged?

In the world of rechargeable batteries, the lithium ion type last longer than most. Most 18650 cells are rated for between 300 and 500 cycles. That means your cell can charge up to 4.2 volts, and discharge down to 2.5 - 2.8 volts, a maximum of 300 to 500 times without too much much loss in performance.

Do rechargeable vape batteries go bad?

Though they have their benefits (discrete, easy to use, rechargeable), vape pen batteries have one downfall: they have a relatively short lifespan. Vape pen batteries can last anywhere from 4-6 months to over a year, depending on how well you take care of your battery.

Why is my vape flashing 3 times and not working?

If this occurs, wipe the contact portion with a Q-tip soaked in rubbing alcohol, let the terminal dry, reconnect your cartridge to the battery and try it again. Do NOT overtighten your cartridge. Make sure your battery is turned on and fully charged.

How do I test my vape coil with a multimeter?

Turn your multimeter dial to the lowest ohms setting, usually 20 or 200. Place the two probes on the atomizer your coil is in, one probe on the positive pin (the one in the middle of the 510 connection), and the other on the outside 510 threading, to get the total resistance of the coil in the atomizer.

What the Numbers on Your Vape Actually Mean?

If you’re new to vaping marijuana concentrates, like oil or wax, you probably have some questions about what the specs mean for the many devices on the market. With a quick Google search, you’ll see you’re not alone, as many others ask the same question. Fortunately, you don’t have be an electrician to decipher these numbers.

Why does my vape coil deteriorate faster?

The downside to turning up the voltage wattage on a vape means you’re pushing more current through the coil. This burns more of the substance however, it also burns additional oxygen , causing the coil to deteriorate quicker because it inherently oxidizes faster.

What is resistance in vaping?

To be brief, the resistance is a value described in ohms (abbreviated with the Ω symbol) that reflects how conductivity of the heating element. This determines how much effect the current or amperage – described in wattage (i.e. current multiplied by voltage) – has on your vaping experience. For vape batteries, this spec is expressed in milliamp hours (or mAh) which, for simplicitiy's sake, is an indicator of how long the battery lasts between full charges.

What voltage is green?

Green = 3.4 V / Blue = 3.7 V / Red = 4.0 V – This battery allows you to change the voltage from the standard 3.7 V to a higher or lower value. By raising the voltage, the wattage pushed over the coil increases, producing a stronger hit.

What is the battery capacity of Sony VTC4?

If you'd prefer to stay under CDR and not mess with MVA at all, then the LG HB2, HB4, and HB6 all have 30A CDR ( and 35A MVA), but only 1500mAh capacity.

What does CDR mean in battery?

CDR = Continuous Discharge Rating - this is the "every day" level you can use a battery, and still maintain good performance and battery life. From the man himself (emphasis mine): "CDR is not a safety or performance limit. It is a statement about how hard you can discharge the battery every single cycle, from 4.2V down to 2.5V, without losing more than a certain amount of capacity, or gaining a certain amount of internal resistance, after a certain number of cycles. It is the "every day" level you can operate at and still get good performance and good overall battery life. The CDR has almost nothing to do with safety except that because it is chosen to ensure decent cycle life it ends up setting a discharge current level that results in a huge safety margin. " Note: CDR = "huge" safety margin. See MVA, below.

What is the circuit board on a vape battery?

Batteries have a small circuit board, usually on the bottom of the vape battery, that stops the charging or discharge of the battery in certain circumstances, such as Over-Charge, Over-Discharge and Short-Circuit. These tend to be slightly longer because of the circuitry and are normally classed as ICR.

What are the parts of a vape battery?

Most external vape batteries are Lithium Iron (li-ion) and consist of three parts: the cathode (+), the anode (-), and the electrolyte (bit in the middle).

How many volts does a vape battery have?

They provide nominally 3.7 volts of power, 4.2 volts when fully charged and slowly discharge when used. Once the vape battery is discharged below approx 3 volts, they must be charged again.

What is the difference between a mechanical and regulated mod?

A mechanical mod takes power DIRECTLY from the vape battery, which means it’s important to know that the battery is capable of providing the current required to fire the coil.

How big is an 18650 battery?

Protected circuits will add between 2mm and 3mm to the length of the battery. Therefore an unprotected 18650 battery measures 18mm across its width and 65mm in length.

How many charges does a vape battery need?

Approximate number of recharges a vape battery can undergo before it’ll no longer hold a charge. Duty cycles can be as high as 500 charges but will vary depending on the specific battery type.

What is an unprotected battery?

Unprotected batteries are normally classed as IMR or INR. Both Protected and Unprotected batteries come in either ‘Flat Top’ or ‘Button Top’. This means that the positive electrode (end) of the battery is either Flat or Button, with most mods using the ‘Flat Top’ type.
