I don't remember what a failing coil tastes like, but a dry hit to me tastes acrid/sour/burns in the throat in a bad way. When I used clearos with replaceable heads I changed them when I noticed a drop in performance/flavor, which usually meant they were gunked up.

What does a dry hit or failing/bad coil taste like? Please describe it in great detail if possible so I can assess my situation. Are they different tastes? Is it a spicy, burny, peppery sort of taste? What can you compare it to?

Thank you all for the prompt replies, I'm still unsure as to what's going on though. I still need to do a bit of troubleshooting.

If you vape the same juice daily you will get vapers tongue. change it up once in a while. When you return to old flavor the flavor will be stronger. The longer the juice sits the more flavorful it will get. I leave the caps unscrewed to speed up the process. Its called steeping.

It tastes dry (as in no liquid) and/or it tastes burnt. It doesn't necessarily have to be in the cough your lungs out style but it's still bad enough. Sorry if this isn't exactly a figure of speech but I think it sums it ip.
