The method for finding the proper voltage/wattage is the same for EVERY vape device you'll ever own. Start low, (8 watts), take a hit, and bump it up. Take another hit, bump it up. If it gets to warm or starts to taste burnt back it down. I usually vaped my 1.6 ohm coils in the 12 to 15 watt range, depending on the juice.

What is the best ohm coils for vaping?

1.8 Ohm Coils are one of the best medium low resistance coils you can get for eGo style vape pen tanks, clearomizers and BCC clearomizers. 1.8 Ohm Coils give you more vapor production than the normal 2.5 Ohm coils that most vape pens come with. If you purchase a starter kit, the Ohms in your clearomizer are usually between 2.5 Ohms and 3.0 Ohms.

Do I need to add a sub ohm to my vape?

Nov 06, 2017 · I am using Vaporesso Revenger mod with nautilus 2 mini ato (with 1.8 Ohm coil). Vaping MTL style at 4.xx volts (12 Watt). On the coil it says safe vaping levels are between 4.2 - 5.0 Volts. But in some articles i read that above 3.7 volts, it is so risky to vape.

What wattage do you vape your coils at?

Jan 20, 2020 · What are vape coils? Although widely known as coils, they are technically atomizer heads. The coil is a component inside the atomizer. But as we know, the world of vape lingo is vast and when you say coils, we know what you mean. If your vape mod is the body, atomizer heads are the heart, a fundamental part of your vaping experience. Housed within the vape …

What is the resistance of a vape coil?

Jun 07, 2021 · You do have to run certain types of coil to do temperature control properly, so the ONLY coils you ever use for temp control vaping are Titanium, Stainless Steel, and Nickel. Kanthal (Ka1) and Nichrome (Ni80) are hardly affected when heated, so this makes them useless for temperature control vaping.

What starter kit comes with coils?

On some of these devices you can also experiment with sub ohm coils, which are either included in the box as spares or can be bought separately.

Is sub ohm vaping good?

Sub ohm vaping can be very rewarding, but at the same time it has a few downsides. The first is that it's mostly suitable for direct lung inhales, which is a style of vaping not that familiar to smokers or beginners. In order to fully enjoy the big clouds you need to draw the vapor straight into the lungs, which requires a very airy draw on the tank or atomizer.

Replace your atomizer coils frequently and experience a better vape!

Replacing your atomizer coils is a great way to learn the ins and outs of your vape pen and to take total control of your vaping experience. There are lots of different reasons you might want to get into replacing your atomizer coils.

What are Ohms?

Ohms are a measurement of the resistance of the coil. Resistance creates heat, and heat is of course what vaporizes your e juice. Determining the resistance you of Ohms you need is going to depend on what kind of vape you want out of your vape pen, how much power it is supplying, and how hot you want your coil to get.

How do replacement atomizer coils work?

Kangertech atomizer coils come in different sizes called Ohms. High Ohm numbers mean the replacement atomizer coils are high resistance, which are less powerful. Low gauge numbers mean the replacement atomizer coils are low resistance, which are more powerful.

Do you need to measure Ohms with an eGo style battery?

No. Most of the regular vape pen batteries like the eGo Twist or Vision Spinner have enough power to supply 1.8 Ohm Coils. If you have a vape pen like the eGo-t 650mAh battery, you may want to look at a larger size Ohm coil, such as the 2.2 Ohm coils or 2.5 Ohm coils.

Here is one question that i am curious of. I am using Vaporesso Revenger mod with nautilus 2 mini ato (with 1.8 Ohm coil). Vaping MTL style at 4.xx volts (12 Watt). On the coil it says safe vaping levels are between 4.2 - 5.0 Volts.

Hi, Tezcan. First of all, I'm a bit confused about the voltage--are you in wattage mode? I'm not familiar with Vaporesso, but I'm pretty sure that you should be in power mode--watts.

stols001 Moved On ECF Veteran

It is perfectly safe to vape at those levels. If you are in power mode you only need to worry about wattage-- though you seem pretty clear on the conversion between volts and wattage (they really are only different ways of measuring the same thing.

Thanks for the reply Katya. Yes the one on the left, which is 1.8 ohm is my coil. I am using in wattage mode at 12 Watts. When using, the screen says me that current voltage is 4.6Volts when puffing. Also as you show in the picture, coils safe usage is between 10-14 watts, which approx takes 4.2 - 5 volts from battery.

What is coil in vape?

The coil is a component inside the atomizer. But as we know, the world of vape lingo is vast and when you say coils, we know what you mean. If your vape mod is the body, atomizer heads are the heart, a fundamental part of your vaping experience.

What are atomizer coils made of?

Most atomizer coils are made from Nichrome or Kanthal. But there are different wire types that some vapers use. Nickel, Titanium and Stainless Steel are also available, but less popular. These tend to be used for temperature control vaping and aren’t suited to all e-cigs. But that is for another time.

How does an atomizer head work?

An atomizer head converts energy from the e-cig battery and heats the coil inside, this then vaporises e-liquid that is soaked into the wicking material, which is then inhaled by you.

What is the resistance of an atomizer?

Well atomizer heads have an electrical resistance value measured in ohms (Ω). Depending on the amount of electrical resistance will depend on what ‘ohm’ your atomizer head is. Atomizer heads generally fall into two categories. High and low resistance.

Who came up with the formula for measuring electrical resistance?

Back in the 1800’s a German physicist ‘Georg Simon Ohm’ published his works regarding the physics of electricity. After lots of sciency things, he came up with a formula to calculate the measurement of electrical resistance.

What happens when you press a button?

When you press your button, it provides power to the coil. This then converts that energy to heat (If you could see your coils, they sometimes glow red when you are pressing your button), and vapourises e-liquid from the saturated wicking material.

What is the wattage of a box mod?

The wattage of a box mod, in layman’s terms, is essentially the amount of power you send from the mod’s battery to the atomizer (AKA your vape tank). Higher wattages equal more power, and this, in turn, creates a hotter, more intense hit. And more vapor. If you want those BIG clouds, you gotta run your vape mod at higher wattages.

What is sub ohm tank?

Sub-Ohm tanks are designed to produce more clouds. They do this by having a lower resistance (0.2ohms, for instance), and this allows for less electrical resistance which in turn allows for more signal to flow to the atomizer.

What are the benefits of temperature control?

Benefits of Temperature Control Vaping 1 Better Flavor Control: Certain E Juices perform better at different temperatures. For instance: having a lower temperature might bring out the sweetness more. Or, going higher could bring out richer tones. 2 Fewer Dry Hits: Because the maximum temperature is locked, you won’t get anywhere near as many dry hits – the atomizer just can’t get enough power to do it. 3 Increased Coil Life Span: With the temperature locked, you’re not maxing out the coil every time you vape, which means the coil head will last longer. 4 You Use Less Vape Juice: Again, with the temperature locked in, you can find a sweet spot where you get great flavor at lower temperatures (and, therefore, power). Less power means less E Juice burned.
